LOST in LOVE

Chapter 7

I woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed. I looked at the time, eight. I tip-toed to the bathroom, not knowing what time the

Brookes' got up during the weekend. I washed my face, then walked down the stairs, my feet touching the bare wood steps. I

looked around, making sure no one was around before walking to the kitchen.

My pajamas weren't appropriate for anyone else to see. They were cotton booty shorts and a sports bra. I didn't have my actual

pajamas because I wasn't aloud into my own home.

Once I made sure the coast was clear, I casually walked into the kitchen. I opened the fridge, looking for orang juice.

"Hey ," I heard from behind me. I jumped, slamming the refrigerator door closed. I turned to see Eric, then rubbed my temples.

"What do you want?" I asked, sighing.

"Y ou,"He winked.

"Y ou're such a pig. And you have a girlfriend!" I demanded. He just laughed.

"Y ou're so naïve. I'm not dating Kelly ."

"But you two were.." I trailed off. "Never mind. Where's the rest of your family ?" I asked.

"They went out to breakfast,"He replied, looking me up and down.

I crossed my arms awkwardly . "Why didn't you go with?"

He came closer, and put his hands on my waist, breathing down on me, as I stared up at him, blank facial expression He looked

so intense, and sexy . Wait, what?

"I thought maybe you'd make me something,"He whispered, and winked.

I shoved him away from me, and he laughed.

"In your dreams," I said, rolling my ey es.

"Damn, I wish someone as sexy as you was in my dreams," He winked again. I stuck my tongue out at him, and headed up the

stairs. "Where are you going?"He called.

"To get changed," I answered. "I'm tired of your drooling." I joked.

"Ha, ha very funny ,"He said.

I walked into my room, and changed into a black tank top, and a navy high-low skirt. I curled my hair, with my curling wand,

then finally did my make up. I walked out, and saw Eric, sitting at the tv, watching cartoons. I walked down, and plopped onto the

seat next to him, staring at him. He looked back at me.

"What?"He asked.

"How are you so calm, with your situation?" I asked.

"What situation?"He asked.

"Y ou know..." I trailed off. He looked at me, blankly . "Kim," I confirmed.

"Oh right. I don't know, I have faith in her I guess."He said, looking back at the screen, which was play ing adventure time.

I nodded in response, also looking at the screen.

After watching two episodes of adventure time, Eric looked at me and said,

"I really am hungry though. Do you want to go out for breakfast?"

"Sure," I said getting up.

He grabbed his key s, and headed for the door, me following him.

We decided on going to a local place, made specifically for breakfast. I got a egg muffin sandwich, and he decided on a maple

bacon donut. He said it had bacon in it, so it counted as breakfast.

After finishing, we got back into the car, and went back home. His parents still weren't home. I got out of the car, and walked in.

My cell phone vibrated, constantly . I checked it, and I was getting a call.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey , can I come over?" It was Jai.

"Sure. Sorry about y esterday ..." I said.

"It's fine,"He said.

I waited for Eric to unlock the door. Once he did, I walked in, and he followed.

"Okay , well see you soon." I said, hanging up.

"Who was that?"Eric asked.

"Jai," I said, walking into the kitchen.

"Him, again?"Jai asked.

I nodded.

"And you better leave us alone." I said, sternly .

"Whatever,"He said, raising his hands.

I just sat in my bed the entire time, waiting for Jai, which turned out to be hours later. I heard a knock at the door, and I whipped

open my door, and ran down the stairs, two at a time. I opened the front door to Jai's face.

"Hey , I'm so sorry I'm late."He said, pulling me into a hug.

"It's okay ," I smiled. "Come in." I said, smiling.

"Actually , we're going to a party ,"He said.

"A party ?" I asked.

"Y eah, come on."He grabbed my hand, and dragged me outside, to his car. He opened the passenger seat, and I got in. He walked

to the driver's seat and got in.

We walked in, hand in hand. The house was a mansion, but there was still people everywhere. He seemed to know where he was

going, but I didn't. He walked into the back yard, to a group of guy s. They all did the guy hand shake thing, greeting each other.

One of the guy s looked at me, and smirked.

"Who's the cutie?"He asked.

Jai, wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Andy ,"He said, looking at me. I smiled nervously .

The guy handed us both beers. I too it, because I didn't want to seem nervous, I wanted to fit in.

"Jai," I pulled on his arm. "I have to get to the Brooke's. Angie is going to worry ." I cried. He had been play ing beer pong, so I was

try ing to get his attention.

"Fine,"He said, walking towards me. "Later, guy s."Jai said, waving at them.

We got out of the house, and into his car.

"Have fun?"He asked.

"Y eah," I said.

He put the key in ignition, and started driving. It was quite, but it was a comfortable silence, I closed my ey es, and rested my

head on the window. I heard loud honking, and saw bright lights, when I opened my ey es.

"Watch out!" I screamed.
