aaand to the reader; this is an au, so chandler is a youtuber (omg imagine that) and so are you, and you are adults living in england. so for this imagine you got to pretend to be 18+ ok? thanks and enjoy!

y/n is extremely tired of the complaining, it has gotten excessively much of it. it's not by her boss (she doesn't even have a boss, she works over the internet and earns money making videos on a page called youtube, she earns pretty good), not her parents (even though they complain a lot about her not visiting enough), not even her friends. it's by one single person, her flat mate. they live in a flat in england, and have been for 2 years. her flat mate, chandler, has had many work arrangements to attend, and hasn't been able to help a lot in their flat nor spending time with her. however, he still manages to find time to complain about everything that he finds wrong.

chandler (who works with youtube just like y/n) comes home around 5 pm every day, just like today, and every time he finds y/n laying on the couch. he's afraid that she'll become sad, more like depressed, and that she will become one of the throw pillows on the couch. they aren't a couple, but they behave like they are married. it's not that they don't want to be together, they just haven't confessed their feelings to each other. that is most likely why the flat is filled with tension; they are tired of each other behaving as they are and nervous about messing up something.

as chandler walks into their lounge, he doesn't find y/n plonked down on the couch like normal, nor in the bathroom and to just make it easy, not in the flat. he smiles to himself as he lets out a relieved sigh, hoping that she finally has gotten out and done something. he still has a strange feeling in his stomach, not that he knows what it is. he doesn't know that he's being nervous for her not being okay, he hasn't felt what he feels for her before and doesn't have a lot of experience with love.

as he is about to throw himself on the couch someone kicks on the door, the kicks being so hard it sounds like someone is about to get murdered. he hurries over to the door and opens it, it revealing y/n with bags in her hands. he sighs relieved as he moves away and lets her walk in, taking one of the bags into the kitchen. "you kicked so hard I thought someone was about to die." chandler comments, trying to make a conversation. "i did almost die, the bags are so heavy!" she answers with a chuckle.

chandler helps y/n with putting everything where it should be; in the meanwhile wondering if he should ask her where she has been. y/n thanks him as the last carton with milk is put in the fridge. "where have you been? or, I know you have been at the store, but have you done something else exciting?" y/n smiles as chandler asks her that, she finds it amusing that he actually wants to know where she has been; it feels like he cares about her. he does care, though, he's just careful with what he says, most of the time. "oh, I met a friend of mine. you know emma, right?" chandler nods as she asks, remembering emma. "we took a coffee at starbucks, talked and stuff."

"you could of have told me, i didn't know where you were. you are an adult, you should behave like one!" y/n thought that chandler had finally put the weapon down, but now he starts firing the bullets again. she sighs frustrated, now leaning into the counter with her head leaning into her hands. "why can't you talk like normal people do? we are flat mates for god's sake, we shouldn't be arguing like we do!" she fires, now pissed at how he behaves. "you know, we sound like a married couple!" y/n continues, making chandler angrier.

"why are we even flat mates? we both know that us living together doesn't work, but we still live together?"chandler says, of course regretting it right away, but he continues to argue with her. "it's supposed to be fun with a flat mate, you know? not just complaining, nagging and arguing!" he knows he's wrong, but somehow he still doesn't stop. y/n is getting tired of this fight; she's tired of fighting with him.
