Chapter Twenty Seven; Not Edited

I flinched when a vase flew past me, hitting the fireplace with a thud, breaking into many different pieces onto the carpet. I was petrified on how Michael was acting at the moment, exploding on anything he could find nearby. I winced when pieces of the vase landed right in front of my shoes, making me flinch when my foot rubbed up against the glass. "Shit." I cursed under my breath when a cut appeared on top of my foot, making me wince when the cold air hit the wound.

I heard more glass being thrown, but thank goodness that my boyfriend wasn't in the same room as well. I could hear Michael shouting out curse words and breaking of glass, replacing the words when he didn't use them. It was such a sad sight to see him like this, broken in different pieces, just like the glass he was throwing. I completely ignored the pain that was in my foot and made my way to the couch where my phone was. I knew that I needed someone over here, just in case Michael explodes on me, which I hope doesn't happen. I picked my phone up, dialing Ryder's number and after the third ring he picked up.  "Calum, is everything okay?" I heard Calum ask, making me stomach turn when I heard more glass in the background being broken. "What was that?"

"Michael," is all I said and Ryder said he will be right over and that I should go into the bedroom, until my boyfriend is calmed down. I scurried to the room I was staying in, but before I could close the door, I heard three words that broke my heart. "I'm sorry Ashton." I closed the door afterward to give Michael some space, mainly to come to terms on the situation.

I lost it when I heard that and it broke my heart knowing that this was my fault. Ashton wouldn't been in this position if I didn't get close to him, regarding when Luke warned me in the first place. My ears perked when I heard a new voice in the kitchen, knowing it was Ryder trying to calm down Michael, hopefully he does. I cracked the door open to hear what they were saying, making sure I was quiet enough.

"Michael, what the hell is wrong with you?" I saw Ryder throw his hands up in exasperation. I heard Michael tell him what happened to Ashton and I saw how Ryder placed his head on top of his hands in defeat. "Who do you think took him?"

I inwardly scoffed at Ryder asking that, it was quite obvious on who did. "Ryder really?" I slammed the door open, making the two boy's jump, not knowing I would've came out like that. "It was obviously Luke. I'm going to hurt him when I find out where he is."

"Woah, calm down Calum." I looked up to see Ryder looking at me with comforting eyes, while Michael looked at me with thoughtful eyes. "Ryder, she is right. We need to go look for Luke because that's where Ashton would be."

"I'm sorry, but that's not happening." Michael and I whipped our head to look at Ryder with narrowed eyes. "What?" I heard my boyfriend ask and I knew he was going to lose control then, making him dangerous for Ryder and I.

"Michael, please use your mind. You know Jack has something to do with this!" Ryder shouted, making me flinch on how angry he sounded, but then I regained my posture when he mentioned Jack's name. "What about Jack? Am I missing something here?" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest.

"You didn't tell him, Michael?" Ryder looked shocked, making me look at my boyfriend in confusion. "I'm sorry that it wasn't on top of my list. I also didn't want to get my girlfriend in my problems when it's my battle to fight." The redhead snapped, making me flinch even more and I decided to leave the room when they started to shout at each other again. I slouched against the chair, earning a sigh from me. I was tired of feeling helpless and scared, I wanted to do more for my friends and for my boyfriend, who is doing the most out of my friends. I felt another presence next to me and I saw Michael sitting next to me with his lips in a straight line.

"I need to talk to you, baby." Michael said, giving me a small smile and I returned it. A couple of seconds later, Ryder walked in with a scowl, hitting the redhead in the head. "We both need to talk to her." I rolled my eyes at the boys behavior and waited for the tan boy to sit down and explain to me what was going on with the Jack and Ashton situation.

"Okay, explain," I said, motioning with my hands for them to speak, but the two of them couldn't decide who should talk first. "If guys don't speak, I will smack both of you guys in the face." I threatened both of them.

"Fine," Ryder sighed, making me raise one of my eyebrows in question. "This is how it started."
