Joy POV
I am walking down the aisle with Dad while 'Here comes the Bride' is playing. When I get to the stage Dad leans in and whispers. "Sweetheart, that man's not going to stay faithful. He'll treat you like we did. You're disposable! Good luck."
Dad walks away from me and takes a seat next to Mum.
I climb onto the stage and place my hand into Jensen's.
He smiles.
The priest looks into the crowd. "We have gathered here today celebrate the marriage of Joy Elizabeth Hamilton and Jensen Nicholas McKellar."
I pull my hands out of his and wipe them on my dress. I put my hands back into his. I look into his ocean blue eyes and it makes me feel like I'm swimming in the ocean.
He smiles.
The priest asks Jensen. "Do you take Joy Hamilton to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do." He winks at me.
My knees start to buckle under his stare. I hold my knees together and smile at him.
The priest asks me. "Do you take Jensen McKellar to be you lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do."
The priest says the vows.
Jensen says. "I Jensen Nicholas McKellar, choose you, Joy Elizabeth Hamilton, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part."
Jensen slips he ring on my ring finger.
I look at him and say my vows. "I, Joy Elizabeth Hamilton, take you Jensen Nicholas McKellar, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, on sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part." I slip the ring onto his ring finger.
"You may kiss the bride."
Jensen moves forward and pulls me flush against his body.
I can feel the muscles under his shirt.
Jensen's lips touches my in a feather light kiss.
I wrap my hands behind his neck.
He slips his tongue into my mouth.
I pull away from him.
Jensen and I walk down the aisle away from our families.
We enter the house and move toward the kitchen.
He opens the door to the kitchen and he picks up two glasses. "I wanted to get you away from your parents. They have been glaring at you the entire time."
I drink the champaign. "They've been like that my whole life. I am used to it by now."
He shakes his head. "You shouldn't put up with that. Now, that we're married you have a choice to make. Do you stay in contact with your parents or do you want to leave this all behind?"
I look around the kitchen. "I want to leave this all behind. I have something's that I still need to pack." I make my way to my bedroom.
Jensen follows me into the bedroom. He sits on the bed while I pull the laptop and phone out of there hiding places.
He looks at them. "Why do you hide them?"
I look at the ground. "My parents didn't want me to have those things after I graduated from high school."
