Chapter 2

(Ilia's POV)

I searched around the forest, hoping to find Link. I called for him a few times, but he didn't answer. I stopped for a moment, finding a trail. I smiled,"That's gotta be Epona's tracks!" I followed them, leading me toward Epona, waiting patiently for Link. I came to her, stroking her slowly. She softly neighed, making me smile. I searched around in Link's bags, then found a small apple, then gave it to her. I noticed something was shining in my eye, making me turn. I handed the fruit to Epona, then came toward the ground. I picked up the source of the shine. It was one of Link's earrings. He must have dropped it while heading this deep into the woods, but there was no path. Where was Link, anyway? I clutched onto Link's earring, hoping to find him. My ear twitched, hearing a faint noise. "Who's there?," I glanced around the area that I was in. I didn't know what was going on, though. I heard tiny voices, almost like whispers, echoing throughout the forest. I became shocked, seeing a small creature staring in front of me, eye to eye. "What are you?," I attempted to catch the tiny creature, but it dodged my hand, making me jolt a little. I saw it again, heading deeper into the forest. "Where're you taking me?," I began to chase it down. The tiny creature noticed me coming, then started flying quickly,  hoping to dodge me. I began to sprint faster, hoping to catch up to it. "Wait up!," I chased the tiny creature, then caught it in my hands, peeking inside, I saw its light, but I looked around me. I didn't know where in the world I was! There were trees everywhere while I took each step. The voices, the whispers were everywhere I went. I couldn't take them anymore! "Stop it!," the whispering desisted once I shouted throughout the forest. I opened my eyes, seeing nothing in front of me. I blinked, but I fell onto my bottom, seeing a young boy, his eyes were transparent as glass, his body glowed a hue of any fairy from the forest. He came toward me, cocking his head at me. "Uh, who are you?," I offered my hand for his. He just stared at me while hovering in midair, then at my hand while cocking his head. "Well, I'm waiting for your assistance.," I held out my hand again, hoping to get assistance, but I sighed,"Never mind..." He flew around me a few times, attempting to take a look at me while I was getting up from my bottom,"Quis es tu, puella, errabat in hac silva?" "What'd you say?," I was a bit confused of what he was saying to me. He came closer to me,"Quis es tu, puella, errabat in hac silva?" "Never mind. Do you speak Ordonian? Can you understand me?," I tried to communicate with the child. He smiled, laughing at me while flying quickly around me a few times,"Bene te virgo saltus vagi nocte longe! Dic pretii venire mecum mulier?" I cocked my head,"I don't understand you, young boy. Who are you? What are you? Where is Link? Did you take him as your prisoner?" He stopped, then grabbed my hand,"In laqueo, puellae! Volo ostendemus vobis rem!" I started being pulled by his swift flying,"Hey! Wait up! I can't go as fast as you can, little boy!" He glanced back at me, his eyes displayed a bit of mischief in them, then giggled,"Veni! Ostendam tibi quid dicam!" "Whoa!," I started sprinting faster, heading deeper into the woods. If this young child knows the ways of the forest, then he may know where Link was hiding! I have to trust him! I got no other choice!

(Link's POV)

I seized to catch my breath, the young girl noticed me at a halt. She came to me, cocking her head at me,"Tu licet? Et infirma videtur a frenum de sprinting." I became shocked,"Wait! You speak?" She smiled while flying around me, giggling"Immo diligo iuvene. Veni, et ducam te ad ubi habito. Tu iam et requiescite. Quondam vos vires recipere, ostendam tibi quid quaeris." For a strange reason, I felt like I completely understood her,"Can you understand me? I can understand you, and I don't know why." She cocked her head again,"Intelligere potes quod dico tibi, adulescens?" I smiled,"Yes, I do! I'm also feeling a bit better now. So, where's the Miracle Herb?" She clapped her hands twice while smiling,"Yes! Sequi me! Suus 'hic!" I smiled,"Thank goddess that you do! I'll explain the details later, okay?" I saw her smile,"Okay! Sequere me, et juvenes! Ostendam tibi viam!" As I followed her, I suddenly felt strange,"Hold on! I don't feel so good! I suddenly feel strange!" She noticed me not feeling well,"Adolescens, tibi licet? Sed non satis ad ambulandum. Concupiscitis me ducet?" I started to breathe heavily,"Excuse me!" I started to feel like my heart was beating faster along with my breaths. I started phasing in and out of consciousness, blurring in and out from the Light of the moon. I headed out, not knowing anyone collided with me. I started running out of the deep forest, then I tripped, landing onto my hands and knees! I didn't know what was going on with me! I felt sweat running down my face, my hands started turning white as snow as I swayed left and right! I thought I heard my tunic ripping apart, my bones grotesquely cracking underneath my skin! I felt my teeth were coming out of my mouth, then I screamed, the sound of it echoing through the forest! I blurred out, falling asleep.

(Wolf Link's POV)(AKA Link's POV in beast form)

I awakened from my slumber, my stomach felt empty. I sniffed the air, then it came to me:  The smell of prey. I licked my mouth greedily, hoping to find a meal. I looked around, the scent coming closer to me, then it came. I crouched down, hoping to not be seen. A small girl was in my sight, perfect because she was weak and helpless, no way to defend herself against me. I crept up slowly, my meal not noticing me at all, growling in desire, saliva coming out of my mouth. She'd be mine for the take, no one else would have her, but I stopped, sensing another wolf coming my way. I growled aggressively, but still kept it down therefore she wouldn't see me. I noticed a wolf coming up fast, making me agitated. She noticed it, screaming in fear that she'd be its meal! I quickly bit it by the back, making it aggressive. The young girl had the chance! I quickly barked, loud enough for the young girl to be frightened by me. She ran away, but something was wrong! I sensed that she was injured. My mouth watered for her flesh, waiting to be ripped up by my teeth. But, I couldn't! I had to fight the instinct to hunt! I barked at her again, hoping that she'd flee, and she did. I quickly turned, but no wolf was in sight. I saw a young woman, whose ears were wolf, her eyes amber yellow as the moon. I sensed her claws shining in the moon's light. She came close to me, whispering ever so softly in my ear, then headed off into the night. I closed my eyes for a second, then to my surprise, I was a human. I saw my hands, almost human-like. I didn't know what I looked like in person, though, but I kept looking around, hoping to find a meal. I almost had it, but that woman, she interfered with my hunt! I clenched my fists, but I didn't know I'd hurt myself, though. I saw my hands again, only in the moonlight during the time of night, I saw my claws, sharp as a human's weapon. I saw a shard of broken material, kinda looked like what the humans used for their weaponry, and gazed at myself. I was a bit surprised by my sight. I resembled the face of a human, but the features of the wolf were on me. I looked at my teeth, sharp as my claws, ready to shred anything in front of me. I never knew what abilities hid in me. My eyes, though, were blue as the night sky. I sensed a meal coming my way, and smite it with one shred from my claws.

I saw the moon, high upon the canopy of the forest. I knew I had to find someone, someone to be with me. I headed for the highest ledge I could find, but I sensed someone coming towards me. I quickly turned, growling at it, but I stopped, seeing those familiar eyes that I've seen before. I cocked my head, seeing the eyes of the same female I saw before. "Saya melihat anda telah belajar kebolehan semula jadi anda.(I see you've learned the abilities of your nature.)" I was a bit surprised by what she said,"Tunggu! Adakah anda hanya bercakap dengan saya?(Wait! Did you just spoke to me?)" I jolted, making her laugh,"Saya tahu, serigala muda anak anjing. Ia tidak mudah pada mulanya untuk melihat apa yang anda telah menjadi.(I know, young wolf pup. It isn't easy at first to see what you've become.)" I didn't understand at first, but I managed over time,"Siapakah anda dan apa yang berlaku kepada saya?(Who are you and what happened to me?)" She sensed something, though, heading off into the forest. What happened to her? Why'd she run away? I sensed something, too. I gazed over toward the sky. The sun was coming up, making me jolt. I headed into the forest, hoping to flee from the light of day. I suddenly began to fade in and out of conscience, my chest beating faster while sweat ran down my face. I ran away from the life that I knew, heading into a small area filled with humans. I think it's a village. I fell down onto my knees, swaying left and right, feeling strange. I glanced back behind me, the sun beating in my eyes, the light abusing me. I howled in agony and pain, echoing throughout the forest. I felt weak, falling asleep into slumber.
