She cries and cries now and again
She relieves the pain now and then
She cuts her wrists and her thighs
She makes up stories and tells her lies
She hides her scars under sleeves
And breaks down when everyone leaves
She can't stand all the pain
She can't control what's in her brain
She tells a friend everything
And always cries instead of sleeping
The friend shares her secret with someone else
And soon enough she turns and tells
It's now a secret everyone knows
Now she has but one place to go
She puts the barrel to her head
And pulls the trigger, now she's dead
The secret goes round and round
But she's now underground
That's no secret, everyone knows
That's just how the story goes.
