"When he died, all things soft and beautiful and bright would be buried with him."
__
Glazial storms froze the heart of Alessandra, it was indeed a powerful and sinisterly storm. A forceful wind blurred her happiness and arrows plunged her maltreated heart. The music was loud and pumpable making not one soul sit down in the large ballroom, all were dancing and smiling. However, a miserable tune played in her head. It blocked the outsiders of her inner wolf and she grieved in her thoughts. She felt so painfully weak and invulnerable. It was Alex who once made her strong. Who built a powerful, young and passionate woman out of her peasant soul.
It was he that made her feel different, special different.
A template of memories sorted in her head, conquering the triumphant smiles and the melodic laughter of her and Alex. Her tears were forcingly propelled deep in her soul, it deeply stung her. Her tears were like sharp needles that were stuck in her dry throat.
"May I present to you, Lorde Celia Kinra Banvalia from the Eastern Land"
Many greeted her, from both noble and monarch sides. It was every girl's dream and secretly hers to be treated so highly, but no longer is. She ignored their presences, their useless chatter of her being and forbid her dry lips to form a kind smile to anyone who smiled her way. She was kindest of all the land but everything's different now. Alessandra was considerate and a wise young lad, she was tender and warm-hearted. She never once rejected an offer or disrespected any living wolf in her town. She was a solicitous goddess but everything suddenly took a sharp turn to a different, chaotic world. She now felt bitter, she lived a frightful nightmare caused by her bloodthirsty ruler and everything she once cherished was simply, dead.
"I want to make an announcement" King Stephen announced loudly as all the noble guests turned to face him and the chatter died down. He held a glass wine cup in one hand and rose it high for the people to see. However, Alessandra still unnoticed her surrounding, she rooted her eyes on the shiny floor remembering what it was like to laugh, and to genuinely smile. It is as if she forgot to do all those things once she stepped foot in this castle. Her face now pale and yellow. Her stomach churned and her heart was twisted each second she spent hearing their voices.
"We have gathered here presently for an event I thought would never come to date all thanks to my son who posseses the pickiness of a young one"
Alessandra still ignored everyone and felt dizzy with the weight of her keen thoughts. The same old dreary tuned returned to her and stabbed her unmercilessly.
"I would like to present to you, my son and thou bestow ruler, King Demetrius"
Demetrius pridefully walked to his father, bowing once he reached a small distance from his cold leader.
"You will follow my rules and with your very own eyes you'll see what I saw when I first encountered with her, besides, what does she not offer? My, she is beautiful and young and to match her looks are the traits she posseses of a great Luna. A great leader" King Stephen was furious but kept his voice low so no one can hear him. However Demetris, he believed his father was an obtuse man and saw nothing but plain beauty and simple personality traits that are a useless tool to achieving a great kingdom.
He believed his father didn't know what was right for him, he was centric to his belief and will always view that foul woman as a prisoner and a sinner who only deserves to be dead.
Queen Sabrina II, approached a lightheaded Alessandra who silently sat on a chair she felt was made from silver and fire. It was revolting to her skin and burned her in what seemed to be agony and regret. Why hadn't she killed herself already? Why is her fate being accepted?
"How do you find the decor, I personally demanded the ribbons and candles to be shipped from Western Latisia. They have an amazing merchant who creates scented candles that smell like forests, its great pleasure for our wolves if I beg to add my opinion. I put some in your new and pristine chambers- "
The last line suddenly earned Alessandra's ears to rupture and her eyes to widen. Her eyes met with her Queens and she felt her colour drain from her face. Her new chambers?
"Was there a worry in the chambers I'm staying in" Alessendra felt her mouth sticky and her throat was dryer than that one merchants hair. Her eyes begged for her Queen to change her statement and provide her with another one.
"Alessandra, all new-weds must share chambers after the ceremony" The Queen chuckled like it was a humourful joke Alessandra had said.
"You informed me that the traditional wedding would be on her goddesses birthday" She needed an excuse, she needed time to figure out how she'll run away or eventually find an end to this.
"Again dear, you are a fresh bride-you need to start reading your husband. Learn him. I'm sure this will give you guys more opportunities for communication and a better microscope." Disgust spread its way all over Alessandra's body and she suddenly felt like she was going to rupture. She had enough with these false thoughts and orders, it was time to put an end to it.
"With all due respect, I indeed value my reputation and will forbid myself from sleeping on the same bed as a man I do not entitle as a lover, nor shall I ever. Indeed I respect myself your majesty, therefore please do not bring this man to share a bed with me"
The Queen was a bit appalled but kept it to herself as she longley stared at Alessandra, wondering how rare it is to have such strong, feminine wolves like her in Latisia. How this could be a threat do such a male-running kingdom.
"Have you not developed any sort of rich, powerful feelings towards my son?" The Queen asked as she closely stared at her with a sharp tongue and a curious mind to assure herself that Alessandra was interested in men.
"I am dishonourably dejected to be so harsh with my choice of words but your son will never genuinely be loved. Damsels only see his worth and his monarch position, nothing more nothing less. There's more to a man than just his wealth your majesty and I for a woman am not interested in one's position or wealth but his purity of heart. You cannot woo someone with your riches if your heart is bitter and you see nothing but cruel hatred towards everything "
The Queen was bestowed, she has never heard a young woman speak so wisely and purely ever. She began to realize that her words were indeed true, no woman has loved her son for his heart or his ways only ran for his position.
"Your honesty is one to admire dear, but please, I recommend you don't use powerful words as such in front of my betrothal or my only son." The Queen realized that the same words could get her executed for good and her family will be the next to receive the punishments of their sinful child, so she as kind as she is, gave her advice.
"I am tired. My heart has been sore all week and every maiden here is inconsiderate. I loved a man, and that man was killed in front of me. Forbidden or not, human or goat, love is powerful enough to destroy a person. Your son and husband destroyed me. My mental health is now crushed and equally comparable to a bag of dust and dirt"
The Queen suddenly felt bad, but she very much knew that Alessandra brought this to herself. Humans were something she knew very well not to come in contact with, especially to love. If she could have stopped herself from loving that human that kept crossing into our land without the consent of any King, she would have saved herself all of this misery.
The Queen could only place a comforting hand and watch her lashes carry a tear and soak.
