"Just remember, If one bird carried every grain of sand, grain by grain, across the ocean, by the time he got them all on the other side, that would only be the beginning of eternity. "―
I felt roots from the ground slither around my feet to keep me from running away, like I was one third human, one third wolf and one third tree. My wolf took action and knew it was proper if I don't scream and shout horrid things, especially to the Royal family but I just couldn't help it. I was certainly not going to let her devilish plan proceed though, clearly people here don't understand hatred and mistaken it for wanting to sleep with their King. I gained enough courage before deciding to open my mouth wisely.
The three elderly women looking at me suspiciously, like I reminded them of Satan himself when I rose my eyebrow and nodded my head in total disagreement.
"I give out my apologies sincerely your majesty, but I would rather be eaten by dogs" The two elder women seated next to Queen Sabrina II stretched their eyelids the furthest they can go.
However I lowered down my gaze, really not wanting to explode if I look at her.
"Brutal" She humorously commented and I forced my eyes to look up and they witnessed a small smile stretch on her plump lips. I didn't understand how she found any of this intruding happy, must I remind her I did something our ancestors forbid us from doing?
"It's not brutal, it's the truth" I found myself vexing in the inside when Queen Sabrina II didn't take me solemnly.
"What village did you come from dear?" The two elder women seated next to her turned their heads to the Queen questioning her uncanny behaviour towards a traitorous damsel.
"Terre De Paix" I was forced to answer back after moments of silence remembering the small, friendly village I was raised in. My heart tightened as I remembered the fresh, baked goods taking over the odourless air in the morning and the people dancing or singing. A land that respected us and we respected it.
The Queen took me by surprise when she crooked her wrinkly neck and gazed my face seeming to look for something.
"You must have a beautiful mother because you have the rich beauty only the Parisians can inherit" She says with narrowed eyes but that only made me angry.
"I don't have one" I coldly answer
"Why certainly that cannot be true, all of us have mothers" Her friendly face vanished and converted to a cold one.
"Mine passed away before I reached the age of one" I lied with triggering confidence
"Tragic, is that why you're so discourteous and impertinent?" The two women let out small chortles as one of the two spit out words, however Aunt Tea always told me that arguing with a fool will make you a fool as well so I didn't reply but looked at Queen Sabrina II.
"May I ask who you live with, well used to before you were brought here?" I noticed that Queen Sabrina was the only kind being here, the rest were all ill-mannered so I pushed it in me to treat her with the same respect.
"My aunt" I looked down as I felt horrid despair shoot through me at the sudden memory of her.
"Well now, you unfortunately have to call this your home. Before your execution, you're going to be forced to live here and work as a maid to serve both the King and the castle I'm guessing"
Here was the problematic issue I don't know why I'm still here. I was supposed to be executed, not bathe and dress up and live life like nothing happened. King Stephen had delayed my execution without an appropriate reason and now I am warned that I'll have to stay here?
I was certainly going to say something before three loud knocks went off tracing all our eyes to the door.
