"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! I wanna see pwease!" My little brother shouted as he jumped up and down at my fathers feet. My dad was an exterminator and always tried to bring home some new animal or bug we have never seen before. Today he brought a garden snake for my little brother Tyler to see and keeps as a pet.......if he wanted. I'm sitting on the couch watching everything unfolding before my eyes. My mom yelling at my dad to get the "horrid creature" out of the house while my dad argues back and my brother jumping up and down to see the snake. Then it happened.......my dad dropped to clear glass container on the floor, as it shattered and the snake slithered away under the couch. "Dammit Tyler!" My mother squealed as my father scolded my now crying brother. I sighed and walked over to the small pathetic couch we had a lifted it up, quickly grabbing the snake before it got away. I set the couch back down and walked out the front door, snake in hand. Suddenly I felt a strong pain in my hand and dropped the snake yelping in pain, I could hear my parents running towards me with Tyler not far behind. "Jay! What happened?! Are you okay?!" My mother panicked and tried grabbing at my hand but, I pushed her hands away. "Dont touch me. I'm fine, now leave me alone." I growled out at her and she backed away as if I was a monster........wait.....I am. My father glared at me and he spoke in a harsh tone "Do NOT speak to your mother that way. All she was trying to do was help." That's it. I'm done, I tried to be calm. I tried not to act hurt or upset, but that's it. "Help?! She wants to help?! No! I dont need help from a family who doesn't even remember my birthday! I'm done!! I'm leaving, dont even try to call me either. God dammit! Oh! By the way, IM GAY! I was planning on telling you when you all had come to the living room like we all planned, so we could have lunch together. Remember that? Huh? Didn't think so." I walked over to my Ford Pickup and got inside, opening the glove box for the spare key since mine were inside. I put the key in the whole and turned it and the car roared to life. I put it in reverse and pulled out of the driveway angrily. My phone buzzed and I stopped at a red light, I glanced at my phone to see a missed call and a text. The call was from my father and the text was from Luke, my boyfriend. It read "Happy Birthday Jay Jay, have a wonderful day and talk to you soon baby. I love you" I smiled as the light turned green and I drove to the park on st. ericks road. I parked my truck and got put, walking into the field of gorgeous green grass before laying on the ground. The grass was soft and slight damp from the rain, but I didn't mind. It was hot anyway. I looked up at the clear blue sky for a moment before closing my eyes, filled with peace....until. "Jay! Jayden!"
