Chapter Twenty-Four

          Felix’s P.O.V.

          I began to open my eyes and become aware of my surroundings. I began to remember that I was in the hospital. Memories flowed through my brain of me and Cry last night. I smiled and turned around to say good morning to him, but he wasn’t there. I suddenly got a bad feeling, but then I thought that maybe he couldn’t get to sleep here so he just went back to the room. I tried shaking the bad feeling off, but for some reason it was still there.

            Suddenly there was a knock on the door. I instantly had a huge smile on my face. “Cry is that you?” I called out. The door opened and my smile had faded away, it was only the nurse. “Good morning” she said while smiling. “Good morning” I said sadly. “How are you feeling?” she asked. I instantly changed the subject, “Where’s Ryan?” I ask. “Oh he left a couple hours ago. I’m sure he’s at home waiting for you” she said while handing me my clothes back. I smiled and said “Yea, I hope so”. The nurse left the room so I could change into my clothes that they had cleaned for me.

            After I left the hospital I got a ride home from a taxi. As he dropped me off at my apartment I tip the taxi driver and quickly ran inside and up to my room. I found it unusual that my door was unlocked, but I ignored it and tried to find Cry. “Cry! Cry where are you?” I call out, but there was no answer. I ran around the house looking for him and calling his name over again, but there was no sight or response from him. I go back down to the kitchen and began to panic, until something had suddenly caught my eye.

            There was a letter on the kitchen table. I gulped and nervously walked towards it. I picked up the letter and began to read it.

            “Dear Felix,

            I know what’s been happening to you and I know that that monster has been following you around, and I know the reason for it. Felix you mean the world to me and I would do anything to protect you, and that’s why I can’t be with you anymore. It’s my entire fault that Mad is hurting you and the only way to stop him from hurting you is… heading our separate ways. I love you more than anything on this planet and I don’t want you to die because of me. You deserve someone better, someone that won’t end up hurting you, and I deserve to be alone. I’ll always miss you and love you.

Love, Ryan”

            After reading that my body began to shake and tears had escaped my eyes. I broke down to the ground and sobbed my eyes out. I sobbed so much that I was starting to hyperventilate. “No Cry! I don’t want anyone else! I want you!” I shouted through my sobs.

            After two hours of calling him, he still didn’t answer his phone. My eyes were all red and puffy and I had tear stains on my face. I was so tired so heartbroken, I just wanted to tell him that I want to be with him no matter what this monster plans on doing to me. That’s when I decided that if I can’t get ahold of him on the phone, then I should go to his house.

            I got in my car and started driving to his house. On the way there it started to pour down rain and a thunderstorm was coming, that’s when I knew that Ryan needed me more than ever. As soon as I got there I was soaked from the rain, but I didn’t care. “Ryan! Let me in! It’s Felix!” I said while knocking on the door. There was no answer so I tried knocking again. “Ryan, please! Open the door so I can talk to you!” I shouted.

            Once again there was no answer. I kept banging on the door and screaming his name, but nothing happened. That’s when I decided to run into the door and break it down. As the door had fallen to the ground I was shocked. Cry’s house was a mess, but none of the lights were on. I began to turn all the lights on and began to search around the house. I looked everywhere, but there was no sight of him, even his car was still here, which worried me even more.

            “If Cry wasn’t at his house where would he be?” I asked myself. I walked outside into the rain and broke down into tears again. I screamed with fury and kicked the wheel of my car. “Cry! Where are you?” I shout. I let the rain pour on me as I laid there on the ground sobbing… and all alone.
