Congratulations and Surprise Visits

When I walk into the Watchtower everyone is already there. They all stare at me and I look down at me feet, shuffling my weight from my left to my right." Please sit down... Batman." Superman said to me gesturing to an empty seat that had the name 'Batman' engraved in it. I nod and slowly sit down clearing my throat.

"May I ask what the gathering is all about?" I ask quietly, careful not to make contact with anyone. Green Lantern laughed and banged his hand on the metal table. I cocked my head and the others soon joined him in his laughter.

"We called you here so we could welcome you to the League! Nothing is wrong." Hawkgirl said to me smiling warmly. I let out a nervous laugh and smile.

"Here I thought I was in trouble!" I say rubbing the bridge of my nose. Superman stands up and gestures to Flash, Flash then sped around and poured everyone a glass of Champaign." I'm sorry but I'm only 20... I don't drink." I say and Flash sped around once more. When I looked at my glass again there was another substance in it... Root Bear! I smile and laugh.

"To the new Batman! My the old... rest in peace." Superman said to everyone and they all raised their glasses repeating after the man of steel. We all drink... well some of us did. Afterwards we all decided to return to our home cities. I shake hands with everyone and clear my throat.

"Time for me to get back to Gotham but remember... the team thinks I'm the Bruce Wayne Batman so don't say anything. Wally knows so maybe you can speak to him or have him call me, Flash. Thank you everyone but I must go! I am Batman." I said to them saying the last sentence darkly. It made them laugh so what the heck!?

I stepped into a zeta tube and reappeared in the famous Batcave! Jason was sleeping in the home theater when I went to look for them. So cute! I think even though he isn't that much younger than me. I pick him up and carry him to his old bedroom and when he was fully asleep I shut the door. I groan as I flopped onto my bed, I don't dare sleep in Bruce's room. I pull the covers up to my neck and close my eyes. Good night world!

I am about to fall asleep when I hear a soft knock at the window. I slowly get out of bed and grab a pocket knife from under the mattress. Ok breath and now! I open the large window that lead out onto a small deck and grab the shadowy figure who yelled at the sudden movement. Wait a minute... Star!? I let go of the figure and they step into the moonlight." Hi Robin... I mean Nightwing." Starfire said and I hugged her tight.

"Star! I could've killed you!?" I said looking her right in the eye. She shrugged and smiled. I chuckled and shook my head stepping out of the way so she could come in." What are you doing here? I mean it's great to see you but last time I almost got killed so..." I say rubbing the back of my neck as she looks around the room.

"This is your old room is it not?" She asked and I nodded." Then why are you not resting in the bigger room? Is it not yours to rest in?" She asked and I sighed grabbing her hand.

"No. I just can't bring myself to sleep in the room that once belonged to Bruce." I say swinging her hand, she smiled and pulled me over to the bed." So why are you here?" I ask and she smiled even bigger. She laughs and gives me a short kiss.

"I came to see you silly!" She said scooting closer to me. I laughed and nudged her making her do it back, but she did it so hard that I fell of the bed. She gasped and I jumped back up onto my feet.

"I'm good!" I say brushing myself off. Her face showed me that she was shocked and I just couldn't help but laugh. I flop onto the bed and pull her into a kiss. Her arms slowly found their way up around my neck and I place mine around her waist pulling her close. Then someone cleared their throat.

"Wow! You didn't mention anything about dating an alien." I turned my head to see Jason leaning in the doorway with his arms crossed in front of him. I jump of the bed and studder my words." Yep. Sure..." he said sarcastically. I roll my eyes and look at Star who looked completely lost.

"Starfire meet Jason Todd."
