What to call you

I yawned and opened my eyes, I was sitting on a swivel chair with my head laying on the desktop. I sat up and rubbed my eyes looking around, I was still in the Batcave. I stood up and walked upstairs, shutting the clock door behind me. I ran my hands through my hair as I walked up to my room.

After I was dressed in new clothes I headed to the kitchen for breakfast noticing that Starfire and Jason were already eating. I sit down next to Starfire and pour some cereal into a bowl." Good morning." Starfire said and I nodded. My throat was killing me for some odd reason, so I didn't feel like talking. I grab a spoonful of cereal and shove it into my mouth, letting my mind wander back to the identity problem... Which one am I? What should I choose? What will I choose? Would Bruce be proud of me?

"Dick?" Jason said and I blink a couple of times and I look at him, he takes a breath and speaks more." What are you going to do about Wayne Enterprises? You are obviously too young to take over the company, and what are you going to do about Blüdhaven?" He asked and I sighed despite my throat and set my spoon down. I hadn't thought about the company much, nor about Blüdhaven. What will they do without Nightwing? I bite my lip and shrug, that's all I could think of.

I look at my watch as it beeped, telling me that I had to assign the team a mission. I sighed and realized my throat felt better, maybe it was the cold milk... I stood up and started to walk to the Batcave with Starfire and Jason in tow. I changed into the Batman costume quickly and turned to my friends." You guys want to come? I can introduce you properly Star, Jason I'm not sure what I could say about you. I can say you are a close friend or something." I said but my voice sounded kinda weak. They both smiled and nodded so we walked through the zeta tube that took us to the mountain.

At the mountain, I walked in with Starfire and Jason. The team looked surprised for a moment to see new people but I quickly informed them all about who Star and Red were... mostly." Your mission, is too go down to central city and help out the Flash. Captain Cold is down there causing havoc and he invited some friends, Killer Frost, Mr Freeze, Icicle, and Icicle Jr are with him and Flash can't hold them off forever so hurry. You will be taking Starfire and Red Hood with you, behave." I said the last part mostly to Red, he could cause trouble. They all nodded and got onto the bioship but Wally sped up to me quickly and sighed.

"You can't keep this up forever, sooner or later Nightwing needs to make an appearance." Wally said, then he sped off and I was alone. I sighed a dramatic sigh and started to pace in place. Wally was right though, Nightwing can't just become a ghost...

"Batman." I heard someone say and I turned to see Superman flying towards me. He lands in front of me and gives me a smile, then he takes a deep breath." I couldn't help but overhear what Kid Flash said to you, but he is right. Nightwing can't be gone forever, what if they read the papers and see that crime has gone up in Blüdhaven because their hero has been scarce? Tomorrow, the team has another mission and I want Nightwing to join them. Give the Batman a small break and see your team, that is an order so don't forget, tomorrow Nightwing will show." He said then he flew off and I was alone yet again....

I was pacing in the mission room when the team got back, broken and bruised." What. Happened." I said through my teeth like Bruce always did. Wally came forward and sighed.

"Mission accomplished. With a few minor concussions...." he said and I thought about what Superman had said." So can we go?" Wally asked and I had to hold in a cackle.

"Yes but you have another mission tomorrow and before any of you decide to skip it let me inform you that Nightwing will be joining you. Nightwing is back from Blüdhaven but only for the day, Blüdhaven has been very busy so he can only visit once a week. Make it worth while, you are excused..." I said walking out and I felt happy inside to see the joyful looks on the team's faces when I told then I was coming for a visit. Wally sped up beside me." You were right blah blah blah..." I said walking through the zeta tube and I heard him laugh before I was sucked away back to the Batcave.

I take a small step into the cave and am shocked by what I saw... the cave was messed up and there was graffiti on the walls, it read....
Hiya Batboy! What should I call you now!? Robin, Nightwing, Batman... you sure do have a lot of names! Anyway... just came by for a visit and Deathstroke was sure upset to find you gone, we'll be in touch. Don't forget about the riddle!

I shook my head and flipped over the -most likely- last upright table, the metal made a loud sound when it scraped the metal on the floor. I tried to calm down but nothing helped, I was so angry... I went over to the punching dummy and started to beat it up until my knuckles bleed. I didn't stop until I heard the zeta tube call out there names...
"Starfire B27"
"Red Hood B28"
"Kid Flash B12"
