Hello, Batangas!

Mom called me just now. Sabi nya bukas daw kailangan kong puntahan si Tito Rodrigo sa office nila...with Georgina. Isabay ko na lang daw sya papunta doon. So, now I have to ask her where we should meet tomorrow. 

I dialled her number. 

She did not answer.

I called her again. 

Finally!

"Hello." -Gina

"Gina, why weren't you answering my call?" 

"I'm driving, sorry." 

I let out a big sigh. Akala ko kung napaano sya. Usually kapag tinatawagan ko yan, first call parang nasasagot na nya. She had me worried.

"Kay. Listen, I'll pick you up tomorrow. Sabay daw tayo dapat pumunta sa office ng dad mo."

"Sino nagsabi sa'yo nyan?"

"Mom." 

She remained silent for a moment.

"El Amor hotel, 5 pm."

"Got it. See you tomorrow."

"See you."

There's something about her voice. Parang wala syang gana? Ok lang kaya siya? Ramdam ko talagang may mali. Damn.

It's 12 in the afternoon. Mom called again and told me to come to her office. And here I am, in her office sitting face to face with her. Looks like this is gonna be a serious conversation. 

"You'll be leaving tomorrow morning." What? Agad? That's so fast. Bakit ngayon lang sinabi ni mommy?

"Don't tell Georgina yet, Johnny."

"Ok mom."

"Now, details of this business trip will be discussed later with Tito Rodrigo. Remember, Johnny you promised this. Don't disappoint me. This is your first job for the company, make sure to do your job well."
