SarahPOV
I heaved breaths as I drove to the address Mike gave me. The kids were with Marcy who is a stay at home Mom and she doesn't know anything about what I'm doing. The car sometimes jerked when I got too scared and my foot flexed too fast. "Oh my god. Get yourself together." I whispered to myself.

When I got to the address, I saw it was an apartment building. I took a deep breath. He could never hurt me even if he wanted to.. Which he wouldn't want to... Right? I'm over thinking this. I'm his soft spot.. I used to be anyway.. I walked up the stairs to the right number. I got to the green bluish door and knocked gently.

I heard a bit of shuffling on the other side before the door opened to reveal a shirtless Mike. I tried to think of something to say to him as my mouth opened and closed like a fish. "I... I'm sorry.." I said slowly. He let me in and told me to take a seat. I sat on the couch with one leg under me. I played with my now blonde hair.

He sat next to me and just looked at me. He didn't say a word as he lifted some of my hair off my neck and observed me. "Please say something.." I said quietly. He sighed and his hand rested on the back of the couch. "Why didn't you wait for me?" I shrugged. "I couldn't wait that long.." This seemed to anger him and I didn't blame him because it came out totally wrong.

"I didn't mean-" I was cut off. "Are you fucking kidding me?? I would have waited for you Sarah! I would have waited and waited and dealt with the problem instead of running away from it and finding someone else!" He shouted and my fists balled. "But no you couldn't do that! God forbid you have to be loyal to a man who was looking forward to seeing the love of his life!" He yelled at me and turned away, running a hand over his short hair. "I WAS LOYAL TO YOU!" I screamed as tears ran down my face.

He turned around with a look of surprise at my outburst. "DO YOU THINK IT WAS ANY EASIER FOR ME TO LAY THERE EVERY NIGHT WITHOUT YOU?? DO YOU??" I screamed and he looked down a little. I stepped up to him though, not caring about the fact that I was crying.

"I cried myself to sleep for six months. Every... Single... Night... I wished and prayed that something would change.. That somehow they would let you out and you would come back to me.." He only looked down. "LOOK AT ME!" I shouted and he slowly met my gaze.

"Don't you dare say I wasn't faithful just because I didn't want to waste my life away for eleven years.. Waiting... Pleading for the man that I loved.. Love.." My voice was soft and wavered and I could feel the waterfall of tears on my face. "And if you ever think that I stopped loving you... That I ever stopped wishing my children could have been yours.. You're wrong." I whispered and I saw the tears build in his eyes. "I love my husband, I do. But I loved you more than anyone could ever understand.." I lost my voice a little at the end of my sentence. His tears started to fall. Something he only ever let me witness.

"I couldn't even bring myself to go on a date until a year and a half after you were sentenced..." I took big gulps of air from crying. "I couldn't bring myself to be completely happy for so long.. And I still haven't gotten to that point.. But I had to pretend to be happy... To be happy... For my kids, for my husband.. For me, Mike." I cried and he shut his eyes tight and bowed his head as he let his tears slip.

"I'm sorry I didn't wait for you... But I didn't know how to wait for someone who I didn't even know would want me when I saw them again..." I sniffled and finally wiped my eyes. He wiped his as well. He gulped and crossed his still toned arms. "I'm sorry..." He sniffled. "I know.." I said as I walked up to him and hugged him around his neck. His big arms wrapped around my small frame and squeezed me gently.

"I want to get to know you again, Sarah." I froze, not knowing what he meant. "Mike.. Nothing can happen between us.. I love you, but I'm married now.." I said softly and he sniffled. "I still wanna get to know you again and at least have us be close." He whimpered a little into my shoulder. "Please.." He begged. I bit my lip but nodded. "Okay. We can get to know each other again and be... Friends." The word broke my heart saying it to him. I could tell by the way he shivered that it didn't sit right with him. Once we pulled away I smiled a small smile at him. "My husband can't know about this.. You're name is well known.. Still." I said and he nodded. "But.. I'm out." He said and I snapped my head up. "What??" I asked and he showed me the burn on his side.

"Just like Andre's..." I breathed as I ran my finders over it. "Yah.." He said and I looked at him wide eyed. "You quit the gang?" I asked and he nodded. "When I got out... I wanted to be out when i.. Came back for you.." He coughed a bit and tears welled in my eyes again. I hugged him tight and he hugged me back. "I'm sorry, Mike." I whispered and he nodded. "I know. Me too." He whispered and I pulled away. "Oh.." I sniffled and pulled the necklace from my purse. I handed it out toward him but he only looked at it. "I don't want it. I gave it to you.. It's yours." He said simply.

I shook my head. "I don't want my husband to find it... Or my children.." I said softly. He opened his mouth to protest but I only took his hand and I put the necklace in it. "I love it Mike. I do... But it's too risky to have in my home.." I said solemnly. He sighed. "Okay.." He said and put it on the counter. "I should go though.. Marcy and I have to get the kids from daycare.." I said quietly and he just looked at me. "What?" I asked and he put his hands on the hem of my shirt. "What are you..?" He was inspecting the scar from the bullet.

"It healed up nice.. No problems with delivering or anything.." I smiled and he nodded, glancing up at me. I raised a brow when he didn't put my shirt down. I opened my mouth to say something but his lips were suddenly on my scar. I gasped as his lips kissed my flat tummy. His tounge grazed it a few times and a small moan came out of my mouth. I heard the jingle of my belt and snapped back into reality. "Mike, stop!" I exclaimed and he stopped. "I'm sorry.. I got ahead of myself.." He sighed and stood up.

"I have to go or else Marcy will be late to pick up Andre.." His eyes lit up at Andre's name. He gave me his number and I have him mine. "Meet up soon?" He smiled and I nodded with a small smile. I walked back to my car and sighed shakily. Once I was calm, I started on my drive to the daycare center.
