After the bell rang I walked out the door. Just another same, boring day. Nothing exciting.
I walked home because Chris had an art club meeting. As I walked, I thought about future things like a job, money, and college.
I walk up the stairs to the house that I grew up in and the one that I will never get tired of.
It seems like I don't like the town that I live in but really. I would stay here. It is where all of my family lives and my best friend. I don't need a lot of friends to be happy. So I actually want to stay here.
Any way I walk into my house and find my parents waiting for me on the couch. Why are they home don't they have work. Oh by the way they work together at the college in town, they are professors.
" What are you guys doing here, shouldn't you be at work?", I said.
"We have great news", my humble mother said.
" Oh no, did someone die?", I asked kind of being funny but they laughed so I guess that's not it.
"No hunny. We are moving.", she said excited.
-----------Time Lapse to the next week on Saturday morning-------------
¨Come on Darling!", my father said.
I stand in my now empty and bare room. No posters. No desk. No bed. No fairy lights. No curtains. I can't believe it. I take another look around. I'm moving and I have to leave my best friend that is going to be across the country.
"I'm coming", I shouted back very sad to be moving. I go down the stairs that I remember so well and in the kitchen where I cooked with my mother sometimes and out the front door. My parents were in the car waiting and I was about to get in until I heard my name.
"KYLA LEIGH CHASEMEN"
I turned around and saw Chris. I ran up to her and hugged her with all my heart because I am going to miss her so much even though we were friends for a short amount of time.
"I'm going to miss you so much", she said.
"Me too", I cried. "I'm sorry, I got mascara on you"
"It's okay", she said as she pulled away from our hug. I said one last goodbye and that we would stay in contact with her before getting into the car and leaving to the airport.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ARIZONA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My room in Arizona was awesome. It had blue and purple walls with a white desk and a matching white dresser. I also had a window seat that has white bookshelves above, to the left, and to the right of the window seat. It was perfect. As I unpack I think about how it would be starting a new school. Would I make friends? Would I be bullied and called a nerd? I don't know, but what I do know is that it is not going to be easy at a new school. I also feel that starting a new school would lead to something.... unique.
