Day thirty three, Awakening...
I was woken by the clanging of metal on concrete as a dish of cold slosh, they called it a meal, was pushed across the floor towards me.
I shuddered at the memory of the flames that had licked across my skin, it was all gone now, I just felt numb, as though my muscles could take no more pain and had sealed off, surprisingly, I didnt feel tired, I was only mildly aware that I could sense where they had thrown the dish by just my hearing and smell.
I ate as much as I could stomach of the disgusting slop with a rusted spoon before pushing the dish back across the concrete to the door.
I winced in pain as the grating sound reached my ears as the bowl was sent flying into the door, crumpling the thin metal bowl. I hadnt pushed it that hard, had I?
I stood up and rooled my shoulders, stretching from the uncomfortable bed.
I felt the loss of my family hit me like it did everyday, but I forced those feelings away.
I shrunk back when i heard footsteps coming down the corridor. A small man with a bald head slammed open my cell door
" Im Billy, you are coming with me today..."
he said in a creul voice, everything about him was cruel, the evil glint in his eyes, his crooked smile that showed too many teeth. I was more scared of him than anyone else. The guard dragged me behind Billy, instead of going to the labs I was lead down a seperate corridor into a large open room that had many machines scattered around the outer walls, I held my small hands tightly together to stop them from shaking when I saw one wall covered by an iron grate, behind it I saw many strange tools and weopens, swords, daggers, whips and some I didn't know the name of.
The guard left me alone with Billy and locked the door as he left. Billy tured to me with a cruel smile across his face and said
" This is the Training center, aka the Gym, and I shall be your personal trainer. "
I just nodded my head not knowing what he was talking about.
"get on the treadmill, ill start it slow and speed it up gradually, better keep up"
he snarled at me as he pointed to the treadmill, I had used one before when I went to the gym once with my dad, my eyes stung as that memory hit me but before I could cry I forced it away, it was only as I stepped onto the treadmill that I saw the long braided whip in Billy's hand.
