Chapter six

Sally's pov.

~~~~~~~~~
I watched as the girl, Skylar's eyes widened in fear, it was a deep instinctual fear born from experience, I stepped back just as I heard footsteps come down the hall. I saw a man in a white lab coat approach Skylar's door, she had moved with lightning speed and was on the opposite side of the room, hiding.
" 003 Approach the door. " he belted out in a hash command.
As she stepped out of the cell I could see her Properly.
Her bony cheeks were framed by her long black hair that fell to the small of her back, her deep blue eyes looked dull and broken and she slouched in acceptance, she wore a plain uniform looking thing that has probably never been washed, around her wrists were thick chains that hung low and around her neck was a metal collar of some sort.
I saw the mans hand twitch on something black and a light flashed on the collar. I saw the girl collapse on the floor, pain in her eyes. My hand went to my mouth instinctively in shock, what cruelty she has suffered. She stood up and slumped forwards, She turned to me and her eyes showed such defeat I felt the sting of tears hit my eyes.
After They were out of site I turned to Mike.
" have you been able to contact Alpha Brennan? "
" Yes, and I have alerted him that there seem to others here in this hel hole, Alpha Brennan is on the way "
" Did you see that poor girl, Mike? " I asked my brother with concern lacing my words.
" She looked broken Sally, I don't understand, how could they do that to her, she doesn't look like she's even had her first shift. " My brothers voice held a pang of sadness for this mystery girl, what was her story?
I walked over to the back of the cell and curiously looked around there was a cubicle in the far corner and opposite it was a small bed, the sheets stained from dust. I sat on the bed, my legs feeling tired and I was about to lie down when I heard a scream that shattered through me and echoed down the corridor.
It lasted about five seconds before it died down. Two seconds later another scream tore through the air and I felt my heart drop to my stomach, we had to get out of here soon, and take anyone else out of here too, how many are down here.
It was a few minutes of absolute silence between Mike and me before my ears twitched at a dragging sound.
I walked to the bars of the door and peered out, afraid of what I would see. Two guards were dragging the limp, unconscious body of Skylar down the corridor. I felt my wolf rising but I quickly pushed her down before I did something stupid.
They tossed her roughly onto the concrete floor behind her door and a growl forced its way up my throat, low enough that these bastard humans couldn't hear it. The guards walked off with smug looks on their faces. I stared into Skylar's cell, willing her to be okay.
