Kamille was busy getting ready for a party she had to attend with Wyatt. This time she was aloud, in fact, she had to go. It was to see how obedient the slaves of royalty were. Like a dog show, hopefully Kamille didn't have to jump threw any hoops.
Carrie did her hair, leaving it down and straight. She also made Kamille's dress again. Simple and black, like the ones at the auction house. It didn't have any sleeves but thick straps. It went mid-thigh and hung tightly. Hopefully, this would please Wyatt.
Kamille mentally groaned. She shouldn't care what he thinks of her. But she couldn't help her heart to flutter at the thought. Anyways, Carrie insisted on doing her makeup.
Kamille thought that eyeliner was the devil. All it does is just stab you and you can never make it even. Just makes your eyes water and red.
"What even is this party?" Kamille asked her friend.
"I went before. It's not as bad as you would think. Plus masters always has to stay with their slaves." Carrie winked.
Kamille blushed. Carrie finished her makeup with a deep red lipstick. She would have never thought that being a slave would mean parties. Though, slaves weren't normally the slave of a prince.
Wyatt told her she needed to be ready by four and it was already three-thirty. She wanted to read some more before they left. Kamille said goodbye to Carrie and went off to the library.
When Kamille got there she notice the boy from before. Adam was reading a book called A Bread Compared To A Mouse. Kamille sat down next to him on the big purple cushioned couch. Adam looked up and put his book away quickly. Kamille didn't understand why she was expected as royalty.
"Hello." She said with a smile which Adam returned.
"Hello." Adam replied.
"What're you reading?" Kamille asked leaning more into him and his book.
"It's just a strange book." He answered.
"Ooh. I like strange!" She exclaimed grabbing the book from him.
"Hey, give that back!" Adam said with a shocked tone.
"But I just want to see the-"
"Kamille."
Kamille froze as she heard her name being called. The voice was dark and familiar but still calmed her.
She looked up and saw Wyatt leaning against the libraries door. Kamille swallowed a lump in her throat.
"Give the boy his book back." He spoke with such dominance.
His eyes weren't the ecstatic blue she's grown to love but the blood eyes that's she's grown to fear. They were just as pretty and Kamille really did love the shade of red but she knew it was bad news.
Without hesitation she gave him his book back with a smile on her face. She wanted to show Wyatt that she wasn't scared of him. Kamille looked over at him for approval and he just nodded his head.
"We will leave in a few minutes. My mom wants us to be there early." He told her and shut the door behind him.
Kamille sat back on the couch with a sigh. She ran a hair threw her hair, parting to the side looking stressed.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you so submissive to him?" Adam asked putting the book she gave him to the side.
"Well, I'm his slave silly." She showed him a smile that didn't exactly reach her eyes.
