Chapter 16
A Couple of Hours
I heard a door slam downstairs.
What a way to start the day. I yawned and stretched, seeing an empty bed. I instantly made the connection that the damn vampire was downstairs having a tantrum. I slowly made my way out of bed, grabbing some clothes with me. I headed to the bathroom and showered. It felt nice and comforting with the warm water hitting me. The shampoo Wyatt buys for me always smells super nice. It always makes my hair feel super soft too.
After my shower, I changed into a short yellow dress. It had tiny white flowers designed on it with short sleeves. It hugged mEnnicely and it flowed a bit at the edge. My hair was still wet and I decided to use his blow dryer. I brushed my long black hair dry with heat against it. I didn't have to do much with my hair but I decided to put it half up half down. I actually liked my appearance today. I don't normally wear makeup but I thought to hell with it! I applied a mascara Carrie smuggled me. I knew I'd never use it but I guess today I'd make an exception. Not to be narcissistic, but damn I looked good.
While I was getting ready, I heard a few more door slams, stomping feet, and Wyatt yelling. I was not excited to see what all the commotion was about. I headed downstairs and walked into the dining room. Erica sat there on her phone and chewing gum like a horse. Her hair was up in a ponytail with sunglasses resting on her head. She wore a tank top with an expensive looking necklace. Erica did look awfully pretty, all vampires did.
She noticed me and sneered. Time to be an obedient slave.
"Do you know where Master is?" I gulped.
Oh how the word felt foreign on my tongue.
Erica rolled her eyes.
"He's freaking out in the kitchen like what's his issue?" She was more talking to herself now.
I headed into the kitchen. Empty blood bags fell on the floor and all the servants seemed terrified. Still no sign of Wyatt. I saw Carrie and stopped her.
"Where's Wyatt?" I was getting more concerned.
Carrie sighed and put down laundry she was carrying on the counter.
"His mom is making him wed Erica next month. The news was official today." Carrie let out a sad hum and picked up her laundry to keep going.
I could tell she was busy. I bit my lip and crossed my arms. My stomach sank hearing that it was now official. My Wyatt will now be Erica's. I tried looking for him more but I guessed he circled around cause I heard him back into the dining room.
"Erica, darling, why don't you head home? I'm not feeling well today." I heard him trying to keep his cool.
His words seethed out of his mouth but Erica was too oblivious to notice.
"Sure, hubby, gosh I can't believe it, can you?" I heard her excited voice bounce of the walls.
I leaned over the corner to see them. Erica got up to hug Wyatt and his eyes were bright red. Even the blood high couldn't keep his anger restraint. It only seem to make him more animalistic.
"Not at all." Wyatt sounded pissed.
Erica left but gave Wyatt a kiss on the cheek before she did so. I wanted to vomit, I wondered how he felt. I wondered why he was so mad? I know he didn't like Erica but creating a hell storm seemed a bit over dramatic.
"You can come out now." He sighed and leaned against the dining room wall.
He knew I was there.
