Travis got up and ran after her. Great, just great. I washed the last dog by myself and then walked home. Oh the way home I ran into this girl.
"Hi I'm Kay. Do you know where this place is" she handed me a picture of a house. I hadn't been there that long but I knew where the house was because it was right down the road from my house.
"Yeah it's right down the road from my house"
We walked to the house and said our goodbyes"You should come over sometime"
"Yeah that would be great" I answered. Well l guess today wasn't all bad. I made a new friend.
Once I got home I turned on the radio and the song Sorry by Buckcherry was on. Even the radio was trying to make me feel bad. I should have never kissed him it was all a bad idea. He acted like he didn't care about his girlfriend until she walked in. Why are boys so confusing?
The next day I had to go back to help Aunt Poppy. I was hoping and wishing that I wouldn't see Travis there. And he wasn't just a guy that looked my age talking to her.
"Taylor this is Andy"
Andy had dark hair that looked black, bright blue eyes, and still taller than me. People in this town really know how to make a girl feel short.
We didn't have a lot of dogs to wash so we talked about random stuff and sang and danced to song that came on like Give You Hell by the All American Rejects and Sk8er Boy by Avril Lavigne. Andy was awesome. He wasn't even embarrassed when my Aunt came in and saw us singing and dancing. This might be better than I thought.
