{ Two Years Later }
"I can't believe that this is happening!" Jess' voice was filled with so much excitement, it was almost contagious; almost.
"I know," I say as I set down the packed box in the trunk of my new car. It was a dark blue BMW x3. My dream car since I was a little girl. It was a high school graduation present from my parents. My dad is shipping it off to England, where I will be living for the next few years. Jess and I decided to get an apartment there since we are both going to the same school.
"I can't wait to get there," she squeals, "Niall said he'll be coming in to see me when I get there, I'm just so excited."
I frowned. I hated when she brought up Niall. I always felt a sting of pain for a few days when she talked about him. It reminded me of Liam and the time we spent together. Over the past years he's gotten a girlfriend and everything. Completely forgot about me. I sighed and tried to smile at Jess. I should be happy for her. At least she got the happily ever after that all of us want.
"My dad's going to drop us off at the airport and then take my car to the AmeriFreight place then get a taxi home; the car should be there by Tuesday." I tell her trying to change the subject.
"Cool, so we'll have a whole two days to sit in our flat," she giggled as she said flat, "and get to know each other better."
I roll my eyes at her very obvious mock-age, "I know, it's going to be boring, but hey, we could always walk places," I say, "and anyway, your going to be too busy sucking face with Niall."
"True." We both laughed.
She got in the back seat and no doubt started texting Niall. I went into the house to get my carry on bag. Which was just my book bag filled with my iPad, chargers, and some money. I grabbed my phone off my bed and put it in my back pants pocket.
"The house is going to be so lonely without you here." I turn around to find Amanda on the verge of tears.
"Awe," I say hugging her, "you'll manage."
She laughs, "Dad is gonna hassle me about everything, who am I going to blame everything on, now?"
"Get a dog." We both laugh at my reply.
She pulls away from me and I see that she's crying. Her blonde hair is up in a messy ponytail, but she some how manages to make it work. Her emerald eyes are extra glassy from her crying and they are surround by big clumps of black and grey from her mascara running. It's funny how she can be so beautiful even when she's crying, just like mom use to. I hugged her one more time and then we walked downstairs together and toward the car. She wasn't coming with us to the airport because she didn't want to cry anymore than she already had.
"I wish I had a sister that cared about me that much." Jess says when we are on the highway and almost to the airport.
"It was all an act," I say rolling my eyes and smiling, "she's probably doing cartwheels of joy as we speak."
"Well, still." She says laughing.
We drive in silence for the rest of the drive. My dad drops us off at the drop off and pick up area and we say a quick goodbye. We had already said goodbye the night before and there was a lot of crying and hugging. Jess and I made our way toward the security check and once we went through that we began trying to find our gate. We were half hour early, so we decided to grab something to eat.
We went to a smashburger stand and then sat at one of the tables to eat.
"So," she says, "you excited about all this?"
