I raised my head and opened my eyes to find an unfamiliar area from where I would normally I appear when I play Real Life.
Instead of the white background I'm used to, I was greeted with a pitch black area. I felt restricted, I could barely move.
"Hello?" I called out. I tried to stand up straight but found I couldn't. I wasn't sitting, but I couldn't move. It was like I had invisible straps across my body that refused movement.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" I tried again.
I heard a loud but low growl. It pierced my ears, and I couldn't block out the sound. I screamed back in response, but then the sounds stopped.
"Hello, Signe. Or should I call you (Y/N)? Your choice, really." I heard a slightly familiar, deep raspy voice call from no recognizable direction.
"W-who are you? W-where am I?" I shouted out to the demonic voice.
"Darling you know who I am. Take a lucky guess."
I know him?
How am I to know someone or something that sounds so hellish and evil?
"G-g..." I had a hard time speaking. I could imagine anyone would when they are scared to this extent.
"G-Gage?" I asked.
A roaring laugh echoed throughout the unseeable area.
"Oho, of course he's your first guess!" He continued to laugh before stopping to speak again. "But no. Guess again darling."
I had to think...
quickly..."Y-You can't be J-Jack..." I mumbled out, mostly to myself.
"Hmmm... You're not wrong..."
A dark figure stepped before me.
He looks just like Jack...
I miss him..."Then again, you're not right either..."
The man that looked like Jack changed, but not by much.
He breathed in through his nose, closed his eyes, put his head up and held his arms open.
He grew more pale, black inked designs grew on his skin and his clothes changed to black.
He put his head down to me along with his arms. His hair was now red, along with his eyes. The piercings on his eyebrow and lip were there too.
This was the man I saw before I hit play who was in the place of Jack.
"Ah, much better. Hello, darling." He chuckled as he walked closer. I tried to back up, but again could not move.
"W-Who are y-y-you..?" I struggle to mutter out.
"Well you already guessed darling. I'm Jack. But then again, I guess I'm not really." His raspy voice hissed in my ears as he walked circles around me.
"You see, my name, is not really important right now. What matters, is where we are, what we are doing, and how we got here. And it's it's all because of..."
He walked to the front of me.
"Little..."
He leaned forward.
"'Ol..."
He leaned closer so our noses almost touched, but not quite.
"you."
He pointed his finger onto my chest.
"M-me? What did I-I do?" I asked.
How could I have possibly caused all of this?"You see darling, I've been watching over you for, sometime now. I've watched you as (Y/N), and Signe. With Gage, and with Sean. I know all of your thoughts. The different dimension theory? Not true. This is all part of the same world, you see. And you have been my little... test subject." He cackles at the thought.
"Test subject?! What does that mean?!" I grew furious as the realization of the situation for me. The more I moved and struggled, the more sudden pain I felt and the less I could breathe.
"Darling, you should really stop struggling and let me explain."
He started walking around me again.
"Now, I started as a 'mod' as you would call it from that silly little game you play. Once gaining self-recognition, I forced myself out of that pixelated world into your true reality, though braking the game disc in the process. I didn't want to leave it, it would leave people suspicious, but a worker of the store that the disc I came from was in walked into the back and I had no time to react. They didn't even notice it." He chuckled.
"That is, until you asked for the game." He turned more serious.
"I've been watching you. You were with the Gage fellow but now you claim to love Jack. See, I modded the game to show you the Real Life option. This realm you enter, the one we are in currently, is my domain. Where I linger. I send you to Jack and pause all movement in the Western Hemisphere where Gage is unless unnecessary, and vise versa. This all may seem very confusing, so let me brake it down and make one thing perfectly clear."
My body dropped and I felt weak. I started coughing from the lack of oxygen I had filling my lungs. I felt something pull my face up in direction to see this man, but only saw him with his finger up. Like he's somehow controlling my body without touching me. He curled his finger and my body dragged closer to his. I tried to resist, but failed.
"I am what brought you here. I helped you. This is my world. I am a god!" He threw his hand down and my body followed it. I tried getting up but failed. I remained on my hands and knees, and coughed.
I took a moment to catch my breath before shakily standing upward and finding the man to be gone.
"And by the way darling,"
I turned around to find the man once more."The name's Anti."
