As I shook his hand, black mist quickly spewed around us. When it cleared, we were somewhere else. Not the black void, not the threshold, but a dark, dungeon like room. "So!" Anti yelled as he turned from me, opening up his arms to the open area around us. He took a few steps forward before speaking again. "Which game shall we play?" He spun around to face me yet again. With a quick chance to peek at his features, he really did look like Sean, if he was a convicted criminal of some sort. I guess though, in his own way, Anti was pretty attractive.
"Like what you see, babe? I don't blame ye." He shrugged off his own cockyness. I tilted my head and glared at him.
"Why that look? I can read your thoughts. Demon, remember?" He gestured around his head.
"Yeah, well whatever. Stay out of there. My thoughts are none of your concern or business." I stupidly wrapped my arms around my head as if to protect my brain. I know that doesn't work, but it was to prove a point.
"Okay, okay, whatever. You haven't answered my question. What 'game' are we playing here?" He scratched his head sarcastically toward me. "Can we pleeeease play strip poker? I wanna see that body under those clothes...mmm..." He tried sexually growling, which was actually kind of a turn on.
"I know it is babe," He grabbed my waste to bring me in closer. "Are you sure don't don't just wanna-" "Get off of me." I pushed him off of me and straightened my clothes a bit. "And I said stay out of my head." I groaned. There's no stopping this guy, is there.
"Nope." His voice echoed in my head as I watched him. He knew I could hear him, so I just rolled my eyes.
"How about," I crossed my arms, tapping my pointer finger to my chin. "a game of The Culling?" I suggested.
"Nah, too many players are needed." He waved away. "Gang Beasts?" He pointed up, as if to a light bulb above his head.
"No, too glitchy and too hard to control." I have to think. 'What is a game I know I could lose at? I have to pick a hard one, so I have a poor chance of losing.' I thought so Anti could hear me in my head. Maybe if I try hard enough, I could block him from hearing my real thoughts?
Wait,
blocking...
Bingo.
"Hey, Anti?" I called sweetly to pull him out of his confused-looking daze. "What's up, baby? Think of a good game?" He chuckled, walking once more, uncomfortably close to me. I'm surprised I'm letting him do this. I'm surprised I'm even doing this in the first place.
"How about Rocket League? Sounds pretty fair." I suggest, pulling my hand out as if to offer. "Rocket League, huh?" He repeated. He walked so close, I felt my back bump into the wall. He placed his right hand to the left side of my head against the wall. He noticed his smell, and he smells oddly sweet for a demon.
Interesting.
"Yup, that's uh, that's what I said." I watched his movements, the gears turning in his head as he tried to find holes in the idea.
"Okay, Rocket League... looks like we got ourselves a play." He started to chuckle at the thought.
"Alright, game on, bitch."
