Three weeks later

"Signe..."
"Signe..."
"Signe! Wake up!" Sean shook me awake.
"What? What's the matter?" I looked at my nightstand clock; 2:47 AM. I turned to him, tired and confused.
"What's going on?" "Look!" Sean pointed under the covers to a puddle in the bed.
"Okay, there's no way I pissed the bed." I laughed it off awkwardly. "I don't think that's piss Signe... I think... I think your water broke..." Sean began to hyperventilate. "What?! T-that's not possible! I took a test, I was on birth control! It hasn't even been nine months! I'm not pregnant!"
"I don't know, I don't know! We need to go to the hospital!" He jumped out of bed and ran to my side to help me. We got up and called an ambulance, which arrived in no time flat. We hopped in, and it started to get harder to breath.

"Signe! Signe! It will be okay, just breath!" He was panicking as he grabbed my hand.
"I am fucking breathing!" I didn't mean to yell, but pain started building up.
"Baby, look at me." I looked to Sean and he put his forehead on mine, regardless of how sweaty it became. "We are gonna be parents... Parents babe..." He started laughing. "You're gonna be a mommy. I'm gonna... I'm gonna be a father..." He smiled and kissed me hard.
"So.... y-you're okay with this?" I asked nervously.
"Of course I am! I just wish we knew ahead of time!" He laughed again.

We arrived at the hospital and were rushed into a room. For hours and hours, unbearable pain controlled my body to where I could no longer move, and Sean remained with me through it all.
For nineteen long hours, I tried pushing this... thing out of me.
The doctors yelled to others that it 'was time', and more came to assist. Sean was now in scrubs to prevent messing up his clothes. He stood to my right and held my hand while everyone encouraged me to keep pushing and breathing.
Until it happened.
Pain washed away as the doctor held up my baby.
Me and Sean's baby.
"It's a beautiful, healthy, baby girl! Congratulations!" He joyously informed us as he handed off the baby to a nurse to have her cleaned.
"Babe.. You did it!" Sean hugged and kissed me.
"We have a baby girl! What should we name her?" He started to cry softly, which made me join him.
"I-I think you should do that..." I sniffed
"R-really?" I nodded.
I was handed our child, who was bundled up in a yellow cloth.
"We should name her... Sam. Samantha McLoughlin." He sniffed too.

I lightly laughed, still holding Sean's left hand in my right. "Taking daddy's last name, huh?" I laughed some more until I stopped, my hand stinging in pain.
"Sean, loosen up a bit. Y-you're hurting me." I stayed focused on my new baby. He didn't respond, so I tried tugging on my hand.
"Sean. Let go of me." I turned and screamed.
Anti was tightly crushing my hand to the point where blood started to draw.
Sam started to cry because I had screamed.
"L-Let go! W-where's Sean?!" I yelled.
"Sorry, doll." He let go of me and grabbed onto Sam. "Some things don't always go as planned." His voice, deep and dark once again.
"Sam! Sean! No! Come back!"

Everything turned dark.
