Thanks To You

I Would've Given Up

This one is about the person that was there for me. They saved my life and, without them, I wouldn't be typing this.

Whenever I thought I couldn't take anymore

you came and picked me up off the floor.

Whenever I thought nobody cared

you were the one that was always there.

Whenever I thought I too far gone

you gave me the strength to keep moving on.

You were there for me, you pulled me through

and showed me the way when I didn't know what else to do.

You're the one that helped me get rid of all the pain

and, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be writing this today. 

You helped me feel okay when ever I was planning to slip away

you're the only reason I decided to stay.

When I was going through dark times

you helped me find the light.

You showed me everything would be alright

and helped me win this internal fight.

So I'm writing this to thank you

for everything you've done

because without you...

I would've given up.
