Chapter 3- I’m not a ragdoll!

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

I’m starting to regret driving now. Why couldn’t I have just listened to Layken? Why did I have to insist on driving all the way to Huntington.

I’m gonna die.

“WATCH IT ASSHOLE!” It’s not like the douche that just cut me off can hear me, but still, I need to release my frustrations. And on top of the constant ‘Sunday drivers’ and the ‘Speed demons’ that have already pissed me off, Layken has called me every hour on the hour to find out where I am. I’m actually surprised she hasn’t called me yet. It’s been about an hour and a half since I last talked to her. Maybe Matt told her to chill out. Gosh I hope so.

I look down at the clock, ‘9:00 P.M’. Dang, I’m makin’ good time. I left at 7 A.M., and I’m pretty sure that if I drive through the night, I can be there by morning.

Contemplating this, I decided to stop. As much as I would like to be there sooner, I’m exhausted and I need to sleep.  I pulled into the nearest hotel, and checked in.

“Good evening, what can I do for you?” the man from behind the counter asked.

“I need a room for the night.” I stated with a tired smile.

“Alright Ma’am, I’ve got a room for you right here, it’s right around back.” He said and handed me my key.

“Thank you.” I said as I disappeared behind the wall.

I got back into the truck, and drove around to the back and found my room.  Unlocking the door, I walked in and noticed the musky smell, like someone had previously been smoking. It made me gag. I shut the door and bolted the lock, made sure I locked my truck, and collapsed into the bed. I had to admit that it was quite comfy, and before I knew it, I was passed out.

When I woke up, the first thing I did was jump into the shower, letting the hot water stream all over my aching body, awakening my senses. I never realized how sore I would get sitting all cramped up in a truck for 14 hours. After I got cleaned up, I jumped out and draped a towel around myself. I decided that I was just going to let my hair air dry.  I got dressed in some comfy driving clothes and went to the front office to pay and give my key back.

“Hello?” I said as I entered the office.

“Sup?” The perky bottle blonde said walking back to the counter.

“I’m here to turn in my key and check-out.” I said with a slight shrug of my shoulders.

“Kay.” She said blankly.

After I paid and turned in my key, I got back in the truck and continued my journey to Huntington.  I hadn’t been driving thirty minutes before my phone decided to ring.

I swerved a little when I went to grab it, but quickly corrected myself as I pressed the answer button.

“Good morning Lay, how are you?” I said without looking at the caller I.D.

LA-LA!!!!!” Oh my god! I wasn’t expecting that, I had to pull the phone away from my ear slightly.

“Oh Chy, I’m so sorry! She grabbed the phone right out of my hand when I said that I was calling you!” Layken laughed into the phone. I smiled, “Well, It’s cool, there’s only a little blood dripping from my ear, but I should be able to hear just fine” I’m so sarcastic sometimes.

“Ahahaha!  Anyway…Where are you?! I’m so excited!!! And even though he won’t admit it, Matt is too.” I could practically hear the smirk in her voice. I knew he was probably near her, for her to say that. Haha, I kinda feel bad for Matt. He’s going to have to deal with all 3 of us crazy girls for the entire summer. Ryleigh and Layken he can handle, but when I’m thrown into the mix, all hell breaks loose, and I feel bad for him. Ehh, not really. ;)
