Hi I said in greeting to the pretty newcomer

Hey I'm Carin she returned

I'm... don't bother I know your name. You're Maya the human my brother is parading about

Yep that's me. I didn't know Derek has a sister.

Neither does he apparently

What?

Well seeing how often he calls which is never he's probably forgotten family

Oh. I wondered why Derek ignored his family. I heard someone calling my name and turned to see it was Nadya one of my new found friends

Hey you gotta get inside its dinner time already she yelled

Kay I yelled back turning to tell Carin goodbye I noticed she was gone. Very movie like I decided going back inside
Hey babe Derek said lightly kissing me. Dinner time and we're sitting with Sir Damien and lady Celine naming a really old couple and as I was about to resign myself to a dreary dinner he also named Nadya and her mate Christian.

Our host called for us to enter the dining hall which was spacious and simply but beautifully decorated. Derek pulled out a chair for me and I saw other males also doing the same for their companions. I realized chivalry wasn't dead at least not among Vampires.

Dinner was delicious and served as a 3 course meal. It was fun talking with Nadya and Christian who was obviously smitten with his outgoing wife. Sir Damien and his wife were even more fun than I thought they'll be.

I was about to put a golden piece of pork in my mouth when Nadya spoke

Who was the lady I saw you with. One second she was there the next she wasn't what's up with that?

She said she's Derek's sister Carin. I immediately felt Derek stiffen beside me

Oh I haven't seen her in a long time Nadya said

Oh you knew her?

Yeah we went to school together then suddenly she disappeared Derek never really told us why she replied giving Derek a pointed look

I quickly changed the subject to Empire a series Nadya and I were crazy about as I felt Derek was uncomfortable with us talking about Carin deciding to talk to him about it later.

We left sometime later after saying goodbye to my new friends with an invite from Nadya to a girls day out which I promised to think about.

Sorry about not updating sooner. School and all but I'm on holiday so expect quicker updates, pls vote nd comment. luv all you guys.
