Mia:

How did I get in my bed? I remember thinking of how sexy Legolas was and then I woke up in my bed! Luckily I'm still wearing my outfit from yesterday. Maybe Carter carried me in. How cute! I shiver at the thought of his strong arms folded around me flexing as he struggles to carry my dead weight. Ew maybe I drooled on his shoulder!

I quickly jumped out of bed and went to take a quick shower. I can hear mom downstairs making breakfast. She has been so busy at the firm the last couple of weeks I've barely seen her at all. I follow the smell of bacon and pancakes wafting up the stairs. When I reach the kitchen I asses the damage she has done. There are piles of dishes stacked everywhere (most of them barely dirty but she decided to use another one) the floor has egg and pancake batter and who knows what else spilled on it. It is the most beautiful sight I've seen in months. My mom stood there beaming up at me, so proud of what she had made. She hasn't smiled in a very long time and I laugh out loud at the funny faces she starts pulling when I don't respond.

"Wow what has you so excited?" I ask as I go sit down at the counter. Taking in all the trouble my mom went to with her breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast with cinnamon, instant croissants, she even made freshly squeezed orange juice but the threw it through a sift because she knows I don't like the pulp. I almost cried then and there as I was enveloped in her love. She just smiled at me and simply said. "I slept in the middle of the bed last night."

One sentence that made my heart bloom for her. Most people would just shrug if of but O knew. She had cowered in her side of the bed each night since the divorce. Too scared to even reach over to get something on the opposite nightstand. She never moved further over to my dads side. Until now! She was finally over him and I was so proud.

I offered to clean the kitchen as she got ready for work. I loved the monotony of cleaning. I could focus on nothing but cleaning this dish of swiping that counter. It helped me clear my mind and it served as a reminder of my mothers good mood. It took me a while because once I finished with the kitchen I washed the floor and because you can't just wash the kitchen floor I washed the whole houses floors, and now that the floors are clean you can't just leave the house dirty. I used my morning cleaning the house. So much so that I was almost late for school. I threw on a pretty white top and a jean short. I tried to tame my hair with a brush but gave up halfway and brought my hair up into a long ponytail that hung down to my back.

School was pretty boring. In geography we learned about rivers and how they work. Which would have been pretty interesting if Mrs Parker hasn't been stuck on this lesson for at least a week now. She keeps getting pissed at the boys and leaving. Today George had kept punching Fred in the arm and she tried to sent him out. He just sat there looking at her until she left. Needless to say nothing much was done the rest of the period.

At lunch I bought a chicken salad at the cafeteria and went towards the senior area. Our school has a designated spot where all the seniors sit. Little cement tables with benches next to them. (We take them pretty seriously) Our table is covered in graffiti from the previous years and now us all writing our names on our seating areas. Rob sat next to me and Carter at the other side. Ali sat right across from me and Will sat next to Ali. We were small group but I liked it. Ali was also very happy because she had always been the only girl between all the boys and was happy for a little girl time. The asked me to go shopping with her this afternoon and maybe go for a coffee afterwards. I quickly agreed, I missed being in a city. Yea Scottsville was growing on me but hey I missed the smells and sounds of the city. The closest city near Scottsville was about an hours drive away so we went directly after school. We drove I Ali's old pickup truck. It was weird she is loaded and never wants for anything but she didn't want a new car. Her mom and dad had begged her to let them buy her a new car for her birthday but she just pit her foot down. She had bought this truck with her own money that she had gotten with money she had worked for and now wouldn't give it up. We drive painfully slow or else Benji (that is the truck's name) would start making weird noises.

Ali bought a ton of new clothes and shoes and even talked me into letting her buy me a gorgeous pair of heels. I am a sucker for heels so it wasn't that bed even though I hate charity. But this wasn't charity it was friendship. We went for coffee at a cute little coffee shop and split a giant piece of cheesecake. I loved spending time with Ali. I felt like I've sorta left her in the corner while I was hanging around with Carter so much but when I asked her about it she only laughed and said that a person like her will never be left to sit in the corner and watch. I was very relieved.
