One More Chance (Naruto Fanfic) (SasukeXSakura) (COMPLETE!)

Chapter 4

A hawk flew above the hideout, squawking obnoxiously.

Sasuke, who was practicing fighting one of Orochimaru's goons, flinched at the sound. That was a Konoha hawk. Each village had a different hawk and Sasuke discreetly remembered the sound of a Konoha hawk.

This pause gave the man he was fighting a chance to strike his shoulder. The distraction was only a few milliseconds but Sasuke was an amazingly fast fighter so his opponent had to try and fight as fast as him.

The goon went pale and froze when he realized he hit the legendary Uchiha. 'Oh shit oh shit oh shit! I'm gonna die now!' he thought as he helplessly watched the Sharingan user hiss in pain and grab his shoulder which now had a deep gash.

He snapped out of his frozen state and ripped off his shirt and started wiping off the blood, only aggravating Sasuke more. The young Uchiha snatched the bloodied shirt and pressed it onto his wound. "Idiot," he muttered.

Great. Just great. It was a pretty bad wound. This is exactly what he didn't want to happen.

Perhaps he could leave it? Just wrap it up and hide it? It hurt like hell but he was pretty good at dealing with pain. Unfortunately, it might affect his sword fighting since it was on his right shoulder.

If this had happened a week ago he would have gone to Kabuto to get himself healed. But the damn idiot let himself get killed by one of his own experiments. Now if Sasuke wanted his wound to be properly treated he would need to get it healed by Sakura.

He'd rather leave it. Who knows, it probably would be better by tomorrow.

'Dear Sakura,

Are you okay? Are you hurt? Are they feeding you? Did you get a room? Are they treating you well? Did you see Sasuke?

It's only been a day but I already miss you! I'm so bored! Training's not going to be training without you! Now whenever I want to do something I have to do it with Sai! He's getting on my last nerve! When you come back he might not be here ;)

I know your gonna ask so I'll answer already. The hospital is fine. And it'll stay that way! Trust Shizune this time!

Hello Ugly. This is the first letter I've sent. I trust you're fine. Has your bond with Sasuke been restored? Please answer soon.

Dear Sakura,

Kakashi here. Naruto pretty much said all of what I wanted to. But I want you to be cautious. Stay away from Sasuke. By now I doubt he will have any patience. Steer clear of him Sakura.'

She smiled at Naruto's part. He really did know her because she was planning to ask about the hospital. She smirked at the part about Sai and laughed at all his questions. But she wasn't too happy after reading what Sai had to say. And as for Kakashi......

She knew he had little tolerance now. But she felt hurt that Kakashi had no faith in Sasuke. He really thought Sasuke would hurt her.

Maybe........Maybe he would. She really didn't know now. There was no trace of her past friend in this new stranger.

Sighing, she began to write a response.

'Hey guys,

I'm fine. A little neglected, but fine. Naruto, you would hate it here. No ramen.

Um, Sasuke's Sasuke.........but worse. I haven't really talked to him yet and I doubt I will. I think it's about time we also give up on him like the rest of the village. He's not who he used to be.
