Chapter 7 : A Fan

Abbe woke up to Casey on the couch with her legs crossed,scrolling his phone. 

"Lucia...hmm Love interest I presume"

" Ever heard of the word 'Privacy'.."

 "I'm bored and your phone was right there."

"Ugh, My clothes, my phone...Just take the fricking house." Abbe said as he sat up and rubbed his eyes.

 "On my to-do list" She said as she threw his phone on the couch.

 He got up and went to the bathroom and washed his face. He looked at his eyes and notice the spots are enlarging. He walked out and heard his doorbell ring. He walked towards the door and opened it. It was a guy who looked about the same age as Abbe. He had short black hair. Manageable and greasy. He was muscular and tall. 

"Hello, I'm Nathaniel. May I come in ?" He asked in a kind manner. 

"Uh...Sure. I'm Abbe" Abbe said as he gestured Nathaniel to walk inside.

 Nathaniel walked in and bumped in to Casey. She quickly drew her blade and placed it against his neck. He gulps hard as he looks at her and the blade. Abbe quickly separates them. 

"Casey...Chill dammit" Abbe said. Casey looked at him then at Abbe. 

"Who is this...thing ?"

 "This is Nathaniel. He's a....."

"Just someone whose trying to research on the fable amulets of the Morningstar. My father's father discovered one and and all through the generations, research was made. My father died trying to find one and now I'm trying to succeed him and finish my family's business"

"That's stupid" Casey said as she walked away. 

"Don't listen to her. I'm sorry for your dad. Want to stay a bit ?" Abbe ask in a comforting manner.

 "Umm Thank you"Nathaniel said as he walked over to the couch and sat down. "So how much have you gathered on the amulet ?" Abbe said as he yawned.

 "Not much so far. I have yet to find one" Nathaniel said.

 Abbe then took off the amulet and showed him. 

"It's... It's....It's real. My word.." Nathaniel said as he remained shocked. 

"Surely you must have conquer formidable foes or trudge through unearthly landscapes of blistering winds and scorching deserts to obtain such an Invaluable treasure" Nathaniel said as he examine the amulet. 

"...I found it in a crack of the ground...: Abbe said with a straight face. 

"oh..." Nathaniel said, unimpressed. 

"Alright Nathaniel nice having you here. I think it's time to leave " Abbe said as he gestured Nathaniel to the door. 

"But...But...." Nathaniel protested. 

"Time to leave. Nice meeting you." Abbe said as Nathaniel walked out the door with a frown.

 Abbe closed the door and went to take a shower. A few hours after, Abbe decided to go visit Lucia. He left the house and walked to Lucia's house. On his way there he felt followed. He quickly turned around and saw no one. He searched his pocket and realize Casey had his knife. Abbe continued walking. He turned around again. He then continued walking. He stopped and said out loud 

"You can come out now Nathaniel"

 "Dang it!!!" Nathaniel shouted from behind a wall. 

He ran up towards Abbe and began walking beside him. 

"So how long have you had the amulet ?" Nathaniel asked persistently. 

"Only for a few days" Abbe answered.

 Abbe then got a strange feeling. Abbe looked ahead of them and saw a group of guys. A gang of some sort. 

"Nathaniel...If things go south...Just look away" 

Abbe said as he pushed Nathaniel behind him. 

"Umm Abbe, Should I run ?" Nathaniel said cowardly. 

"if that's what it'll come to" Abbe said. 

They approach the gang and Abbe looked menacingly at the guys. They passed through without any harm. 

"Well, that was normal.." Nathaniel said. 

"Wait a min....THAT'S THE GUY THAT MURDERED DANTE!!!" a guy said behind them. 

Abbe looked down. 

"You must be mistaken...I'm not a fighter" Nathaniel said. 

"not you pipsqueak, the guy next to you" He said as they approach them. 

"Uhh abbe..." Nathaniel said. 

"Get him!!" The man shouted as they ran after them.

 Abbe then sighed and release the words "Ahh fu..."
