Lunches and Bonfires

Briar's POV

I couldn't get Myles out of my head. His smile, his eyes, his hair he was just so perfect! We had arrived at this really cool restaurant for lunch. Our parents and the boys were already there waiting for us. We sat down and quickly ordered. I ordered a chicken salad and water. Everyone was chatting but I couldn't focus. When was I going to see Myles again? What if I don't! I was bought back to reality when my mom started snapping her fingers in front of my face. "Briar, Briar I asked you a question!" "Hmm what??" She just sighed at me while Abbey started laughing, "She's probably thinking about Myles!" I shot my sister a death glare, I didn't really want to tell my parents about Myles just yet but thanks to Abbey they know now. "Who is Myles?" My dad questioned folding his arms and smirking. "He's this boy that Briar bumped into and when she fell he caught her, they just stared into each others eyes and started talking and now Briar likes him!" "Abbey!" I yell at her, "I don't like him!" She rolled her eyes and continued munching her food. "Awe that's so romantic!" My mum squealed like a little girl, "So when are you meeting up again?"My dad questions "Well that's the problem I don't know because I didn't give him my phone number." Abbey giggled quietly, "Oh Briar I may or may not have given him your number while you left!" I jumped out of my seat and hugged her tightly, for once I am happy she meddled in my love life. "Thanks sis!" Jessy hadn't said anything during this conversation which is really strange. My thoughts were interrupted when my phone started vibrating. It was a text from Myles. "Hey Briar, our friends are having a bonfire tonight and wanted to know if you could come." I quickly replied, "Sure but can Abbey and Jessy come too?" It took him only a second to reply. "That's fine meet at the beach at 6:30" I started squealing and asked my parents if I could go even though I had already said yes. Luckily they said yes and Abbey, Jessy and I rushed home to get ready.

Myles' POV

I am really glad Abbey gave me Briar's phone number if she didn't Briar wouldn't be coming to the bonfire tonight. I really like Briar even though we just met like 5 hours ago. I threw on some jeans, a white shirt and I grabbed a jacket if it gets cold. "Bye mom!" I yelled while running down the stairs. "Bye Myles, good luck with the girl!" I stop in my tracks and turn to her, "How did you know about that?" My mom just laughed, "Oh please I know my boy... plus Kingsley told me." I groaned, I loved my little bro but he couldn't keep his mouth shut if his life depended on it. I walked down to the beach ready to see Briar. When I arrived Tanner, Josh, Devon and Kingsley were there setting up. I put my stuff down and walked in front of Kingsley crossing my arms and giving him a glare. "Kingsley..." He already knew I had found out he blabbed to mom and gave me a shrug. "Hey you shouldn't of told me I can't keep a secret!" he walked off and I couldn't help but chuckle at him. Soon everyone arrived including Briar and I couldn't stop staring at her. The moon light reflected of her flawless face and she was so pretty. We all sat down and I made sure I sat next to Briar. We all toasted marshmallows and made small talk. "Hey Briar It's great seeing you again." She looked up at me and smiled. That smile was so prefect. "You too Mylo." "Mylo?" "Yeah It's my new nickname for you." I liked the name Mylo it was cute. "Than I will call you... Lil'B." She giggled and I laughed at her giggle. Everyone soon decided to take a walk along the shore. Everyone was spinning around with sparklers and having fun but Briar and I walked slowly behind them, chatting. Briar shivered so I put my jacket around her.  "Thanks Mylo!" I am super glad I brought a jacket now! "No worries." We walked in silence until Briar tripped over a rock and fell down. I caught her and we were in the same position as we were when we met except allot closer. "Thanks for catching me..again." I decided to recreate the memory "It was a pleasure catching the prettiest girl on the beach." She blushed and I put her upright. We stared into each others each others eyes and it felt good. I don't know what came over me but I started to lean in and so did she. We were only centimetres apart and I could feel her breath on my skin.We continued to lean in until our lips touched and it felt like magic. I don't know if fireworks actually went off or if it was just in my head. Our kiss lasted 10 seconds and than we pulled away. I smiled at her and I could tell she was blushing even though it was dark. We could hear cheers from the others and the sound of the waves hitting the shore in the distance. "Lil'B I want to ask you something." I took a deep breath preparing for this. "Sure Mylo go for it." I took her small hands in mine and went for it. "Briar will you be my-" I was cut off by Jessy pulling Briar away from me and starting to run around with her. I could hear them talking in the distance. "Come on Briar lets go home!" "Umm sure but Myles was just about to ask me something." Jessy sighed, "Come on, Abbey is waiting for us back at the house LETS GO!" She started dragging her home but Briar turned around and looked at me mouthing sorry. Great I was about to ask her to be my girlfriend but Jessy just had to ruin it, what's up with that? I helped the boys pack up and walked Kingsley home. I had a shower than went to bed. Before I went to sleep I got a text from Briar. "Sorry Jessy dragged me home, what did you want to ask me?" I couldn't ask her know that would be weird. "Never mind I will tell you later goodnight Lil'B." "Goodnight Mylo." I turned off my phone and closed my eyes hoping to fall asleep. I wonder when I will be able to ask her.

A/U long chapter but I was really determined to write a long chapter for you today so I hope you like it. Bryles finally kissed but Jessy interrupted Myles before he could ask her out!! Why does Jessy not want them dating? Why is she always quiet when Briar mentions Myles? you will find out soon. Anyway hope you have a great day
