The first day of summer

Briar's POV

The salty smell of ocean water hit my nose like a bullet. Finally school was over and I got to go to Myrtle Beach. My favourite beach in the whole world. Our car was crammed up with towels, bags, food, swimmers and people. I was sitting next to Abbey and Jessy and in the back was Jack, Steve and Matthew. Jessy, Jack and Steve's parents had to go on a business trip so our parents offered to take them with us. Matthew was a super annoying little brother but he was only 9 years old so I couldn't complain. Abbey, my sister, was a year younger then me, yet she was taller. Jessy has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and she is two months older than me. Steve and Jack are her two twin brothers and they are 11 years old but are the sweetest things ever. We arrived at our holiday house that was literally right next to the beach. The shopping centre was behind us so our beach house was in the perfect location. We had to unpack the car and set up our rooms. "Mom can Jessy, Abbey and I go to the beach?" I asked while mentally choosing which swimsuit to wear. "OK fine but be back by 12:00 we are having lunch." I squealed and ran to my room. I loved the beach it was such a calming place. I decided to go with my pink and green strapless bikini and walked outside to meet Jessy and Abbey. "Wow Briar you look hot!" Abbey said to me. "Thanks Abs but your black bikini is so cute!" we walked down towards the beach and the sight was amazing. The golden sand was so soft between my toes and the water was such a vibrant blue. Jessy wanted to film our whole vacation so she decided to film me walking along the sand. I was facing Jessy so I couldn't see what was behind me. "OK Briar keep walking." I did as I was told and kept walking along the beach, but I didn't hear Jessy say "Wait-Briar watch out!" I smacked into someone hard and lost my balance. I was falling to the ground when I felt strong arms catch me. I came face to face with the most gorgeous guy I have EVER seen. He had beautiful hazel eyes and amazing hair. Not to mention his abs! We just stared at each other for a while in the same position. "Jessy don't stop it you have to record this!" "Don't worry Abbey I am so not stopping this." He put me up right and I realised that he was allot taller than me. "Hi, sorry for hitting in to you." I decided to apologise to him since I did run into him. "Nah don't worry about it, it was fun." I blushed and smiled at him. "Thanks for catching me too." "It was a pleasure catching the prettiest girl on the beach." I blushed even more when he said that, why was he so freaking cute? "What's you name?" "Briar, what's yours?" "Myles." I smiled I had always loved the name Myles. Jessy and Abbey were giggling and whispering to each other and Myles' friends were grinning at him. "I have to go and meet my parents, it was a pleasure meeting you." "You too Briar I hope I see you soon." I giggled and we both walked off towards our friends. I bit my lip to stop me from smiling so much but Abbey noticed, "OMG Briar you're smiling YOU SO LIKE HIM!" Abbey squealed like a little girl as I playfully hit her shoulder, "OK maybe I do but can you really blame me." Jessy just stayed quiet which is unusual for her but I just brushed it off. We had to go meet our parents for lunch.
