Emily: 5 years later

Today was the day that Jack was getting out of prison. I told him a couple weeks ago that I would see him when he gets out. I haven't visited him since, only because I had family issues to deal with.

I was scheduled to visit him at 6 p.m., so I had about two hours to kill. I decided to eat, and then get ready.

I was beyond nervous, and I had no idea why. It would be just like any other day I saw him. I guess I was just too excited, and I was starting to get nervous at what would happen.

A little background information..when my parents had found out about this, they disowned me. They left me to live on my own. I had to find a job and make money and then save up money to rent an apartment. All my friends at school knew about it, but thank god I graduated. I have two jobs and I still make too much, it feels good to live on my own.

"Hi, is Jack Gilinsky here?" I asked the guy at the front desk.

"Jack Gilinsky?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows, looking very confused.

"Yeah? He's supposed to be getting out today,"

"I'm sorry, are you sure you're at the right jail?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty positive,"

"Sorry, we don't have anyone by the name of Jack Gilinsky here."

I was so confused. Then, a security guard came by, and asked what I needed.

"He says there's no Jack Gilinsky here, but i know for a fact that there is! He's supposed to be getting out today!"

"Marvin, are you kidding me? There is a Jack Gilinsky here."

"Well, he was here..."

"What do you mean was?!"

"He uh, killed himself a couple of days ago.."

"Are you kidding me?! You have got to be kidding me, no this can't be happening,"

"I'm sorry ma'am but it's true. I'm sorry for your loss."

I fell to the ground and started bawling my eyes out. I was just so shocked at all of this..he told me we would finally be able to see each other without anyone getting in the way. And then he goes and does this?!

"Ma'am? I'm sorry, but you can't be in here without visiting someone. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."

I didn't say anything I just ran out.

I can't believe he's actually gone.
