I wake up and slowly take in my surroundings. I sit up and see Jackson sitting across the room tapping his fingers on my phone. His face is stone as he just stares at the floor.

I shift uncomfortably, and he hands me my phone.

Tommie =) : So I totally got in trouble haha. Was worth it though, I love spending my days with you ;)

I gulp and clear my throat. "Do you like him?" I quickly look at him only to see his gaze on the floor.

"Um, what?"

He snaps, "I know you f*cking heard me Giselle. I said do you like him? Is that why you pushed me away? Because you secretly hoped he was the one you slept with that night? Because if that's it, then you didn't have to lie to me. You need to stop being a child and tell me the truth."

My heart shatters and a numbing anger slowly creeps through my body. "Really?" My voice raises with every word I speak, "You really think I would push you away for Tommie? Tommie came to me when you didn't. I gave you a chance to leave, and you took it!" I sigh and glance at the floor, "You have no idea how much I wished it was you at my door step Wednesday." Then the cold hits me, "But it wasn't you."

Sadness flashes across his face, but is then replaced with irritation. "YOU were the one to say goodbye remember? I told you I loved you, and YOU said goodbye."

Tears threatened to explode within me, "I NEVER said goodbye! Besides, you said you'd fight for me... What happened to that? Did you finally realize the mistake you made, and the chance you had to finally get rid of me?" Heartbreak, like no other fills me and I mentally numb the pain, before it can consume me.

He sighs, "Elle..."

My phone rings, and a picture of Tommie appears on my phone.

He masks his face once again, "You should get that. He might be offering dessert." He spits out sarcastically. With that he leaves my room and shows himself to the door.

I keep my tears from falling as I grab my phone, "Hey! What's up?" I force a smile and Tommie starts to speak. I stare out my window, and see Jackson's truck still parked in my driveway. He slowly backs out but stops. I can see him inside his car, and he's looking at me. Our eyes lock, and even though it's impossible because of our distance I swear I can see tears rolling down his face.

"Iz... Iz???" I pull myself from the window and focus on Tommie's voice.

"Huh? Oh sorry, what'd you say?"

"Iz, are you ok?" I bite my lip and choke back my tears.

"Yeah," I force a laugh, "my stupid hormones are kicking in, and I just saw a kid trip over a puppy." I bite my lip harder as tears escape my eyes and laugh. "That poor puppy."
