Toby offered Rachel to stay in his home, and she fell asleep on the couch when she went to bed.
Rachel woke up with the sun beaming in her eyes. She opened them. She felt strong arms wrapped around her chest with her back pressed against a bear chest.
She wasn't lying on a couch anymore but laying next to Toby in his bed. She didn't move but felt safe and comforted with Toby laying beside her, holding her. It's been a couple days since she felt safe and alright with what's going on. She could lay here forever. She felt everytime he took a breath. She also felt the warm breaths on her neck, soft and shallow like a calm breeze.
She closed her eyes and laid there with him.
She heard him chuckle, "You don't have to pretend to be asleep."
Rachel blushed, "I- I wasn't."
Toby laughed and scooted closer, Rachel tensed up as his bare chest touched the warmth of her skin.
"You don't have to lie to get what you want. I can read your mind." He said with a smirk.
Rachel thought about going inside Toby's head, and wondering what it would be like. These emotions radiated from him, alone, sad, wanting, greedy, determined, and afraid. And the only thing that Rachel could pick up from him when she heard these feelings talk to her, was an imagery of her. She listened to the thrive of emotions argue and different pictures being painted. She laid there next to Toby listening to his thoughts quietly. They were never at once but mixed together like a stew.
"You're scared," She said.
She watched as Toby thought of battles, and watching him think of her falling to Mellissa, bleeding, or even worse dead and Toby would be mourning over her body.
Rachel felt Toby's arms tighten and tense, "A little."
She watched as the emotions argued and she could see in her head what Toby was thinking. He was kneeling over Rachel's limp body with their cloths torn. The sky was darker then normal, and there were droids marching all over. But she watched as Toby held Rachel's body in his arms. She watched tears spill down his cheeks, and she heard screams. Her stomach twisted in knots.
"You would, cry over me?" She asked.
She turned over so she was facing him but still in his arms. She looked up at him and saw the tears threatening to fall and she heard his mind's voice trying to say something.
"Maybe," he said.
Rachel looked down, staring at his bare, muscular chest. She felt his heart thumping.
"I'm not going to die, I'm sure of it. And sure as hell won't be in the hands of Mellissa." She said.
Toby chuckled, "You sound uncertain."
Rachel looked up again, "If I die I'll fucking haunt her until she goes mad."
Toby laughed harder and she could feel them against him, "Sure."
Rachel frowned, "No really, that bitch will feel my wrath."
Toby laughed again and Rachel listen to the different emotions coming from his head, comforted, wants to be loved, romantic, wait romantic??? Rachel thought.
Toby laughed, "Get out of my head."
Rachel looked up in surprise and confusion, "The hell."
And image appeared in her head, it was her and it was coming from Toby's mind.
"It doesn't take long to fall in love." Toby said sheepishly.
Rachel rolled her eyes, "We met two days ago."
Toby shook his head, "No, before the accident."
Memories swarmed in her head, she did remember him, as kids and a couple years ago from her age, she remembered him being that one guy that followed her everywhere, she remembered him being...
"Oh my god, you were my boyfriend... I- I remember!" She exclaimed.
It was like she was a whole new person, she remembered her real childhood, she remembered Toby, she remembered everything. It just took one word to recollect the memories. She saw out of new eyes, the real Rachel's eyes. An enourmous sense of happiness warmed her body, she rembered...
Toby's eyes lit up, "Really?!"
"Yes, Yes! I remember how our dates would usually be sneaking into the Beauty division and going through the junk yards. And how about that time where your shirt caught on fire and you sprinted. almost naked into the pond near town?!" She exclaimed.
Toby smiled wide and pulled Rachel closer in his arms, "God I miss this."
Rachel wrapped her arms around him, "I did too, being alseep, someone messed with my memories. Someone tried to erase them."
Toby looked sighed, "I know, when I picked you up from the hostpital it was like meeting a stranger. When I looked into your eyes, I thought you were gone."
"I felt gone." Rachel muttered.
Toby grinned, he pulled her closer and held on as tight, they sat up and held onto him, "Toby,"
"Mmm?" He said.
Her eyes widened and she felt a draft, "Where are my cloths?"
She felt Toby laugh, "I don't know, where are our cloths?"
Rachel's eyes widened at the sudden realization that Toby too was naked.
"The hell did you do." Rachel muttered.
Toby turned her over and laid on top of her not putting all his weight on her. They were still covered by the blankets but Rachel could still feel him. He locked his fingers between hers and held her hands tightly and moved them next to her head, "I don't know, what did I do?"
Rachel frowned playfully, "Toby let me up, I need to begin training."
Toby smirked, "Oh come on, I just now got you back."
He leaned down with his face close to his neck and everytime he breathed it sent chills down her neck.
"Giro's gonna look for us." Rachel muttered.
She took at deep breath as Toby's lips trailed along her neck softly and worked their way to her jawline. A warm fuzzy feeling started fluttering her stomach, she exhaled slowly.
"It'll be quick." He said between kisses.
He made his way up and clashed his lips against hers with a passionate kiss. Rachel giggled between kisses, she had missed these and forgotten how good they felt. Toby let go of her hands and massaged her soldiers as their kisses turned rough and hungry. Rachel's hands trailed up to his head where her fingers tangled in his thick black hair. God she missed this, late nights. She missed everything and couldn't beleived she forgot about it, she couldn't beleived that she didn't realize it, that what she thought was real was fake. But Rachel knew that the reality she was living was in fact real. Toby's hips grinned against hers that made a small moan escape her lips.
There was a knock at Toby's door. He imminently stopped, but it was too late and Giro had already walked in.
"Jesus fucking christ." He muttered and turned away.
Toby threw himself off Rachel and laid on the side and covered himself with blankets and Rachel reached for some and covered herself too, blushing.
"What the hell man?" He snapped.
Giro turned his head way and held his hand out, "Uh, uh, I don't know what the fuck happened. Toby listen, I know your trying to being her back-"
"Giro, it's alright. I got my memories back." Rachel blurted.
Giro uncovered his eyes and almost snapped his neck while turning his head, "You did?"
"Yeah, now will you go and wait for us elsewhere?" Toby snapped.
"How- How can she get her memories back so fast?! It should take months for them to even begin to come back!" Giro blurted.
He ran his fingers through his hair and inhaled sharpley, "And you!" He said pointing at Toby, "She can't get pregnant yet!"
Toby's face turned bright red, "Giro! It was," he cleared his throat, "It was nothing... like... that..."
"Oh really? Then where are your cloths?!" Giro said sarcastically.
Rachel blushed even more and so did Toby, "Their in the washing machine, Jesus take a break."
Giro rolled his eyes, "I need to? Look at you?! I let you relax for a bit and you're off having sex."
Toby frowned, "Shut up Giro, it was nothing like that. What would you do if the love of your life who has been missing for centuries finally came back? Huh? Did you ever think how I felt? I would and was fucking happy, after being depressed after all these years. Just give me a break, I've been stressed out with this revolution shit, I need time to spend with my girlfriend and help her get into the routine."
Giro scowled, "Forget it, we begin training tomorrow."
He turned the door knob and angrily slammed it behind him.
Toby huffed as he laid down again, "Asshole."
Rachel laid down next to him, "You guys were best friends as kids. What happened between you guys when I was gone?"
Toby shook his head, "Nothing we just butt heads a lot."
He turned to his side, "What time is it?"
Rachel turned to the right and looked at the clock on the night stand, "10:30."
When she turned back her lips met Toby's. They released and Rachel laid there in the same position, shocked.
"Well better get dressed." Toby said and swung his legs over three bed, "Got a long day ahead of us."
