What Happens Next

Chapter 4|| Lets paint a wall

Bella and I decided that we needed a colorful wall in our room. We called her mom and she said that we were allowed to do anything we wanted to the room, so we went to the paint store and got some dark grey, black, light blue, and white paint, in case we messed up or didn't like it.

As we headed back to the dorms, Bella stopped to talk to that guy she broke down about again. I looked at my phone realizing I had a text.

GAVIN:

Hey Ava I was wondering if you wanted to skype tonight just to talk, I miss you. <3

I looked at it and started to tear up. I missed him a lot. I wonder if mom had told him where I went. Bella walked up to me and started to drag me inside, so I wiped my eyes and followed her into the room. Once we got there, I looked up from my phone and looked around the room for Bella, but she wasn't in the room. I saw her bathroom door slightly open and walked quietly over to it and cracked it open some more. I walked in and saw Bella crying on the floor in the corner. I went and sat next to her without saying anything I knelt down and hugged her.

We sat there for at least an hour and got nothing done in our room, but we needed to eat. I tapped her shoulder, told her I was ordering pizza, and asked her what she wanted to eat. She said she didn't care, so I ordered a pepperoni pizza from Dominos. I told Bella I was leaving to go get the pizza. With that I was out the door and going to my car.

When I got to the pizza place, I got the pizza and left. I wanted to get home before Bella started crying again. My phone vibrated in my back pocket, but I was unable to grab it because I was holding a pizza and I don't trust myself holding it with one hand. I got to my car and put the pizza in the passenger side of the seat. I walked around the car and started the engine. It was weird driving in London. The road was switched around and so were the cars. My parents saved enough to buy me a car once I got here so I could get around. Back home, me and Gavin shared a car.

I looked at my phone.

BELLA:

Can u grab some paint brushes and rollers and those paint tray things while u r out so we can pain tonight. Oh get some painters tape too. and the pizza don't forget the pizza. And, thanks for comforting me earlier I needed it, I'm so glad to have u as a roommate and friend. thanks Ava!

ME:

Yah sure, I'll be back in like 15 min.

I walked into the paint store again and asked where the brushes and stuff were. Once the salesperson pointed me to the far corner of the store, I grabbed what I needed and headed back to the check-out counter. I ran straight into someone when I turned around and I dropped everything in my hands and knelt to the ground to pick it all up and muttered "sorry" to the person I bumped into. I looked up expecting to see the person helping me since they really bumped into me instead of the other way around.

I looked up and saw a face I never wanted to see again.

I rushed to grab all of my stuff and ran to the counter and told the person there to hurry. they told me the total and I slapped 50 euros on the counter and ran out yelling keep the change.

I ran to my car jumped in and left.

When I got to the dorm building I grabbed the stuff and went to the room. I walked in and yelled "I'm back". I walked through the kitchen and saw Bella sitting on her bed laughing at someone on the phone.

"Ok mom I will, I will tell her."

"Ok"

"Got it"

"See you then"

"Bye"

"Hey" she said to me as I walked into the room

"Hey I got all the stuff, it's in the kitchen. Uh I'll be there in a sec i have to go to the bathroom" i informed her. the part about me having to use the bathroom was I lie I needed to breath. I needed to cry, that's it, just cry.

"Ok" Bella yelled back to me

I didn't cry. I thought.

Why is he here. I swear if he followed me, I'm going to start world war III

That went on for like 5 minutes

Then I walked out after like 5 minutes.

"Hey, sorry about that." I said to Bella

"sorry about what?"

"Nothing, nevermind."

"Ok? Come and eat you have to be hungry."

"No, I'm not that hungry. I lost my appetite at the paint store." more like i lost my mind.

" what do you mean ' I lost my appetite at the paint store.' what happened? she asked.

"Nothing, nevermind. I'll be in my room"

I yelped and turned around with the most hysterical expression on my face.

"What did you do?"I said with a tone that indicated exactly what I was feeling, Fake mad and about to cry because she messed up my hair so I could get her back for what she had done.

I fell to my knees. She came behind me and knelt down too, perfect.

I quickly grabbed the paint brush and slapped her across her face. She gasped and looked and me with a pained expression.

"You did NOT just do that" she told me in a very calm manner.

"Yes, yes I did." I said back

A full on war happened after that and she told me that she was done fighting and that we probably needed to finish then go somewhere else after that so we weren't sleeping with all of the fumes from the paint.

We went to a Hotel down the street and she paid for a one night room.

I was listening to music when my phone went off

GAVIN <3

I picked up my phone and answered the call.

Gavin: Hey, did you get my text earlier?

ME: Yeah. Sorry I didn't answer. I was in a hurry to get somewhere.

Gavin: It's ok do you still want to skype?

Me: Sure one sec let me grab my laptop. We had to go to a hotel because our dorm has drying paint. And we didn't want to die because of the fumes.

Me: See you in a sec. Bye

Gavin: Bye

I got my laptop and went to skype, I clicked on the icon and immediately answered the incoming call knowing it was Gavin. I called Bella over to see if she wanted to talk with me and my brother. She walked over to the bed and we talked for hours.

Honestly, I missed Gavin. He was my brother. And I promise you, we weren't the type of brother and sister who always yell and fight. We got along well and we were super close. He knew everything about me and he knew me better than I did. I love him. He is the only boy I will ever love. I have made the mistake of letting in someone I thought I loved and we all can see how that turned out. 

I promised myself along time ago that I wouldn't fall in love. The only boy I allow myself to be so close to is Gavin.
