-Laurance's Point Of View-
You would never know how much I missed you." I whispered to her. We stayed there hugging for a bit making sure we were real.
"Why did your never come back?" She whispered back sadly.
"I tried, so many times. The slim chance of seeing you again was the only thing that kept my sanity." I explained.
That day where I left was one I would never forget. I remember it so vividly..
-Flashback- // reminder they are 15 here Because this took place three years ago \\
I was walking Aphmau to her "Village". It wasn't a real village, it was a place we found in the forest with abandoned houses when we were younger. She liked to call it her own, and she named it Phoenix Drop.
"Hey Laurance?" She shyly called out.
"Yeah?"
"You promise we will be friends? Forever?" She asked looking up into my eyes, since I was always a bit taller than her. A couple of tear escaped her beautiful Hazel eyes.
"Of corse!" I said grabbing her shoulders. "What kindof question is that! You know I wouldn't just leave you! Is everything alright?" I asked concerned.
"Y-yeah.. I just don't want to be alone again." She said calming herself down.
"Neither do I. Aphmau I promise I will be by your side forever and always." I said letting go of her. She just nodded in a response.
As we kept walking, I could hear footsteps. I didn't want to worry her anymore so I chose just to pull out my sword instead of getting her all worked up. Minutes later they got closer and louder. I turned around to check on Aphmau and saw a figure in fiery red armor with a matching sword running up behind her with their sword ready to attack. I know this equipment from a book, these are shadow Knights.
"Aphmau!" I screamed pushing her out of the way and using my sword to block the attack. Quickly more came running out to help their ally revealing a portal. No no no!
"Laurance!" Aphmau yelled. "We need to get out of here!" She ran up behind me to try and pull me out of battle.
I was blocking multiple attacks from these monsters while trying to reply. "We can't lead them back to the village! Aph, I will handle them you need to run back!" I yelled to her.
"I can help you!" She screamed, I could tell by the way her voice sounded she was sobbing.
"You're going to get hurt! Remember I promised you 'Forever and Always'! I will be okay! Get out of here!" I commanded. I could see her nod from the corner of my eye as she disappeared into the forest. I felt something hit me in the stomach and I fell to the ground. One of the Shadow Knights held me up from my arms and dragged me to the portal. I tried to break his grip, but it was no use. I was in the portal already. I yelled as I saw the world I knew fade away to black.
-End of Flashback-
"I-I saw what happened.. I saw them drag you into the portal.." She shakily said. "I remember you telling me about a book you read and you told me about the Shadow Knights... I-I should've helped you! I j-just.." She began to cry.
"Stop it! You didn't do this! You didn't have anything to protect yourself with! A-And it you would've gotten taken away then.. I don't know what I would do.." Put my hands on her shoulders leaving us silent. We just sat there looking down for a while before she sighed.
"Laurance, I was alone for 3 years. With no one to talk to. When you disappeared it was like my whole world came crashing down. How do expect me to okay after everything with no one there to help?" She looked up into my eyes, still because I'm a bit taller than her.
"I'm here now, I'm so so sorry..." I did this to her. I just got reunited with her and I have already made her cry. She again engulfed me in another hug.
"Are you real?" She hugged me tighter. I was taken back at what she said, I mean I'm pretty sure I'm real.
"I'm pretty sure I am." I laughed slightly at the conversation.
"Okay good. I'm glad you kept your promise." She said nuzzling her head into my chest. I felt my face heat up.
Great Laurance you are already embarrassing yourself .
She stayed like that for a second before pulling away with her arms still wrapped around me.
"Are you sure you're real?" She asked giving me a small smile.
"Yes Aph, I'm real!" I over exaggerate my words and laughed. She giggled and let go of me. She looked up into my eyes again and I looked down into her's.
She had the same hazel eyes as the last day I saw her. This time, they weren't filled with joy and love, they were plain. I guess me getting taken away hit her pretty hard, I mean I'm supprised she even remembered me. It has been years since I last saw her. Her hair was black and she wore a small flower crown upon her head. She would always make those for me and want me to wear them, of corse I would refuse, but she always got the best of me and I wore one around her if she practically begged me. She was wearing an off white formal dress. Like everyone else in O'Kasis. I still can't believe she is standing right here in front of me after everything. She shook her head causing both of us to realize what we were doing. We both looked down and blushed.
"U-Uh... L-Laurance we need to get out of here... It doesn't seem like you're on good terms with O'Kasis at the moment.." She said lifting her head up a bit with her hair still covering some of her face.
"Oh yeah.. Where should we head to?" I whispered, even if we aren't in O'Kasis boundaries I still need to keep my voice down.
Aphmau pulled the remaining hair that was covering her face and gave me a shy smile.
"Maybe we could visit.. Meteli?"

Hi!
I'm so sorry it took forever to get this chapter out! I wrote this chapter a while ago, but it was really bad so I re-wrote it. It was kindof a filler chapter to learn more about their past. Hope you enjoy!
