Carson goes into the kitchen, drops off the groceries and goes outside without a word and slams the door.
"what's wrong with him?" I asked Hunter as he hugs me.
"we just had a useless argument in the car. nothing big. don't worry about it baby." he says. I hug him back. I can't help but wonder what happened between these two. I'll ask Carson later I guess.
"babe. go upstairs and put on a bathing suit. we're going to the beach." I tell Hunter pushing him upstairs.
"ok baby. meet you down there."
i hear him say as I walk outside to find Carson. I have probably 30 minutes before Hunter comes out to talk to Carson. I see him at the porch with his head in hands staring out on the lake.
"hey Carson." I say sitting down next to him. not close at all really.
"what do you want Callie?" he snaps at me
"I want to know what happened between you and Hunter and why you are upset."
"We just fought over you in the car that's it."
"why would you fight over me? there's nothing special about me."
"that is the thing. you are perfect. Hunter is just playing you. I can tell. he acts wierd." he says scooting close to me. a tear falls down my face. Hunter doesn't really like me? no this can't be right. he likes me. he asked me out. Carson scoots closer wiping the tear off my face. and holding my face.
"are you crying because of me? no no no no please don't. I should have never said anything to you. I'm sorry Callie." he says running his fingers through his hair. next thin I know he's leaning in and I hear a door slam. Hunter. shit. I immediately jump up and run into the house and upstairs. I see me and hunters door slam and run to the door.
"Hunter baby please open the door!" I scream tears falling down my face. he's never acted this way. and I hate it.
