It was too cold here. That's all I had to say and I hated it, we should be back in Florida where it's warm and sunny. NOT where its cold and snowy, but mom said that its where we would be safe and we would have a new start here.

I wasn't going to argue with my mother about the move. She had been through so much in the past year, with my father's random outbursts and his yelling along with his abuse to both of us, that's why we left for the frozen place they called Alaska.

It really was beautiful with the freshly fallen snow on the trees and the road which caused my mom to drive incredibly slow because she didn't know how to drive in it.

"Mom you can drive faster like all the other cars are" I sighed, leaning my head on the back of the headrest of the rental car, "No, it's not safe, there's ice and snow and crazy people" she huffed as she kept her hand at the ten and two position. "A Subaru just passed us, mom, that's really sad" I laughed and rolled my eyes.

I didn't see the problem with driving faster. If everyone else can do it so can we, but mom just had to freak out and drive 100-year-old lady with something up her ass.

"Maybe because they are from here, King" she shouted, keeping her eyes on the road, "We are almost there anyway," She said as she pulled down a road that had white trees on either side of the road, leading the way to my new home.

We pulled into the driveway and come to a stop. It was a large wooden house that overlooked the city of Anchorage. There tons of windows and lights that made it look even better. "Mom this is amazing" I grinned, jumping out of the car planting my uggs in the crisp white snow. (Think of the grays anatomy house)

"That's why I bought it silly" she joked, opening up the back of the car and started to pull out our suitcases, "Now help me so we can get out of the cold" she huffed making me run over and take a few of my bags and rolled to the door, waiting for my mom to unlock it.

Once it was unlocked we stepped through and set our bags next to a bench and a coat rack, "Let's go look around" She grinned. I followed her through the small hallway that opened up into the kitchen and living room. There were high sealing and many lights that gave it a welcoming feel. "Your room is down the hall at the end on the left" Mom told me and nudged me down the hall, giving me a smile.

I walked down opening up every boor to see what was inside, closets, extra bedrooms, bathrooms, and offices. Once I made it to my room and slowly looked in and flipped on the light. The first thing I saw was the gold chandelier that hung in the middle of the room and then the bed then sat in the middle with two bedside tables with lamps on them.

There were also glass shelves on the sides. Windows sat across from the door giving me a perfect view of the city, then a desk sitting next to the door.
