*^*^*Time Skip To Couple Days Before Alec and Lydia's Wedding*^*^*
~-~-Jace's POV-~-~
Me and my father rushed into the room clary was in, running around demons. I helped him seal off the door and turned to Clary.
"Where's Luke?" She looked away from Jocelyn.
"We had to leave him fighting (Insert whoever the fuck that guy was)." I walked over to her and kept her from running out the door.
"We have to get him we can't leave him there!"
"Clary Luke wants you and Jocelyn out of here. We don't even know if he's..." My dad got caught off.
"Alive? If he's still alive? Jace tell him we have to go back for him!" I grabbed her arms so she would stop trying to get out of my grip.
"Clary there are a bunch of demons out there! If you go back no one will get out of here alive." When she realized I was right she stopped struggling and turned back to Jocelyn.
"She won't wake up, I don't know what to do." She grabbed Jocelyn's hand and dropped it when she heard the demons pounding at the door.
"Clary, use the cup!" My dad instructed. She took it out of her bag and looked it over once before holding it out.
"DEMONS, FIND VALENTINE!" They were still clawing at the doors. "DEMONS, I COMMAND YOU!" Nothing.
"Here let me try." Clary handed my dad the cup and he turned to face the door. He didn't do anything. He just turned around and slit into a rune on his arm.
"No." I whispered watching him. It's a glamour. It was all a glamour.
"Demons, attack my enemies!" Nothing changed. Clary reached into her bag and pulled out another cup.
"Knock it off guys!" She yelled at the demons and they scattered. "You're not the only one who knows how to cast a glamour." I don't know what point it was that I zoned out but the last thing I remembered was Valentine being my father. The whole time I was too stupid to see that it was never Micheal Wayland. It was him the entire time. Clary was right, it was cruel what he did to my falcon. I should have noticed something then. When we got to the Institute I made sure to find Lydia and give he the cup. I was sitting with Clary looking at Jocelyn when Alec walked in. I went over to him since there were some things we needed to discuss.
"I saved you from yourself Alec."
"Whatever Jace. Now I'm going to tell 'MY' sister that she doesn't have to be stripped of her runes." He walked out without another word from either of us. I walked back over to Clary and sat back in my chair, running my hand through my blonde locks of hair.
"If it helps, I don't believe him."
"But it's a very possible scenario. You can't just make something like that up."
"But you've lived with him for years, there isn't possibly a way you didn't see through the glamour even once."
"No, he was right. I'm weak. I couldn't even see the person my dad really was. I should've killed him when I had a chance."
"You couldn't Jace, he's your father."
"He's your father too Clary."
"But he was with you almost your whole life. He raised you. I don't have anything that ties me to me accept blood. It's different for me."
"Yea, I guess." I hung my head trying to clear it a little. "I'm ganna get to bed. Goodnight."
"Night Jace." I went back up to my room. I passed by the training room and saw Alec and Magnus talking. I passed by Izzy in the hall.
"JACE! Thank you so much!" She gave me a hug but I didn't do anything back. "Are you alright? What happened?"
"My father was never Micheal Wayland."
"What do you mean Jace?"
"I'm the son of Valentine."
"Wait, so if you're Valentine's son then you and Clary are... I'm so sorry Jace." I'm sure she could see the tears forming in my eyes. I haven't cried since I was three. Since my father broke my falcons neck I haven't cried at all. She hugged my again as I broke down. "It's going to be ok Jace. We can get around this."
"No, we can't. Clary got ripped away from me and now Alec can barely look at me."
"You just gotta keep your head held high." She lifted up my head with two fingers under my chin. "You should get to bed, I'll check on you in a bit. I nodded and walked to my room. I sat on my bed and just stared at the wall. After about five minutes I saw someone standing in the doorway. I assumed it was Izzy until they left. As they were walking away I could see her red hair.
"Clary, wait." I got up and went after her. She turned in the hall to look at me.
"Sorry, I was just checking up on you."
"Can you stay with me for the night? Please."
"Yea, of course." She walked back into the room with me. She had me lay on the bed and pulled up a chair next to me.
"Everything's going to be different now isn't it?"
"No Jace, this doesn't change I thing. I don't believe him and I'm not getting caught up in his lies."
"I guess I shouldn't either." She shook her head.
"No, what you should do is get some rest." I agreed and brought the covers up. Almost instantly I was lulled into a sweet darkness.
~-~-Alec's POV-~-~
*^*^*After Talking To Jace*^*^*
I walked over t the room Izzy was being held in.
"I'm sorry we lost the case." There was another voice in the room, presumably Magnus.
"At least we lost in style." They started to laugh but when I walked in it was quiet.
"Clary and Jace are back," They both stared at me. "They gave Lydia the cup! You're free to go." Izzy hugged me and said something but my eyes were glued to Magnus and he was the only one I could think of. Ever since I told him that I proposed to Lydia he's been different towards me.
"Walk me out would you? We have to business to discuss." After getting the go ahead from Izzy I followed him out and into the training room.
