𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 6'1 and around 139-142 pounds, with a leaner frame and fair skin. tousled black hair with a single purple streak running through it, with the excess tied back in a small low ponytail. brown eyes and a nick in his left eyebrow. has a single nose piercing and several in his left ear.
𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕘𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕 Nyx was born out of wedlock to Charlotte Hallows and Ben Davies, two young Londoners who shared a mutual attraction. After having their son, the two felt obligated to get married, and did so hurriedly so they could stay together and raise him. Of course, such a rushed marriage was doomed from the start. Between being newlyweds, parents, and attempting to keep their family stable, to say the couple struggled would be an understatement. They barely made enough to pay the monthly rent and argued constantly, more often than not neglecting Nyx. By the time he was nine years old, the Hallows family had descended into chaos, culminating in Charlotte and Ben filing for divorce. They sent their son to live with Charlotte's mother—Marie—in Paris, where he would stay while they got back on their feet. However, seeing as Ben and Charlotte weren't quite willing to become parents in the first place, Nyx found himself living with his grandmother permanently barely a year later.
Marie Hallows was a kind woman who took excellent care of her grandson. She read him poetry and old English literature to keep him entertained, which he quickly gained an affinity for, and remained ever-loving and supportive of him. As he grew older, Nyx tried his best to suppress his complicated feelings for his parents and background, and focused more on living in the moment. He became more or less of a loner at school, keeping decent grades and spending his free time in the library surrounded by books. Then, during his third year of high school, he met an exchange student named Vianne, who may have had more to her than meets the eye. And the rest, as they say, is history...

𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪 can best be described as a cool loser. he generally keeps to himself, but he's just fine with that, and still gets along well with other people. overall, he's friendly and even-tempered (if not a bit jaded). he can be rather sarcastic and quick-witted, but it's mostly in a teasing manner, and he rarely has any malicious intent. he's also a giant nerd once you get to know him; he gets really excited about old literature, especially of the english variety, which he has a fondness for thanks to his grandma. however, beneath nyx's cool exterior lies lonely boy who just wants to feel whole. he has a hard time opening up to anyone that isn't his grandmother, and he struggles with his sense of self-worth, exacerbated by the fact that his parents didn't seem to want him.

𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕒 •nyx speaks with a slight cockney accent due to his background in london. •his favorite bits of literature are poems and short stories. his favorite poem is "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe; in his words, he "finds beauty in its melancholy".
