𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕘𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕 Deja Robinson was a hardworking woman in every sense of the word. By day, she was a mechanic at a local auto shop. In addition to the long and demanding hours she worked, she constantly dealt with the racist/misogynistic microaggressions and attitudes that came with being a black woman in her field. By night, she followed her true passion—innovation. Her head was full of ideas for inventions and building projects, and her greatest goal in life was to see them take off. She struggled to be taken seriously, was rejected every time she pitched an idea, and had the locals buzzing about how crazy she was. However, Deja was driven and spirited, and refused to give up. This eventually caught the attention of the god Hephaestus (disguised as a mortal), who took an interest in both her and her work. The two began a relationship, and Hephaestus promised to help her become successful. A few months later, Deja realized she was pregnant. Hephaestus left her soon after, wishing her well and apologizing for his inability to help make her dreams come true. In November of that year, their daughter Blake was born, and Deja abandoned her many projects so she could focus on being a mother and holding a job.
