Anderson's POV

I came to the hospital again the next morning, saying hello to the nurses as I walked in. It was five minutes to visiting hours started, but they knew me so well that they let me just go on in. I knew what they were saying.

"There goes that boy again. So hopeful, so bright even with his girlfriend in intensive care." They'd shake their heads. "Don't know what we gonna do about him." Dakota was staying on the fifth floor, right outside the elevators. I could hear them whispering every time I walked past. I smiled as I saw Dakota lying in the bed, the sunshine hitting her golden hair. And quickly the smiled faded as I remembered everything. I stopped in my tracks in the doorway. My letter was lying opened on Dakota's lap. I saw the words scribbled on the paper lying right in her fingers. I stood there, dumb and not thinking anything. My mouth not even hanging open, me just standing there. Eventually I forced myself to walk in, and I swear on what I saw. The letter in her fingers. Could she have read it? I quickly made my way out to the nurses desk and asked for her doctor, Dr. Cooper.

"Well people have had signs to have random activity at random times but nothing is proven." he smiled as he said in his matter of fact voice. "It's possible she could have acutally read it but then again, someone could have just put that there." I nodded with agreement, just wanting him to go away at that very moment. All I wanted to do then and there was smile and think of Dakota getting better. I had a plan, too. For when she was better. We'd graduate high school and I'd do it then and there, the first night after graduation. I know were young but, I love her.

I hope she'll be my bride.

But she has to get better first.
