Chapter 10 - [The Gig]

I don't know what to wear. It's like I need to be so gorgeous tonight that Mason would forget his name. 

But how? I'm just an ordinary girl with an eyeglasses included in the list of the nerdy ones who can't help herself. Arghhh! Can't believe this is happening.

Why would I need to be gorgeous in front of Mason, it's like I want to attract him, but seriously I don't, and that's not my intention. 

Okay, enough with the gorgeous thing and just wear what is comfortable for me.

I'll just wear a skinny black pants and a white turtle neck long sleeves for my top paired with a boots and never forget about the E thing, "eyeglasses". Haysss!

*Ring...Ring...Ring...Ring...*

"Hello Mason?"

"Hey Amanda ng buhay ko, I'm here in front of you're door? Is it okay if I come in for awhile?"

"Oh, really? Sorry, sure you can come just give me a second" and I opened the door and let Mason come in.

"So I'm ready, let's go? I'll just get my bag" I said and continue fixing my things.

"Yeah, but only for you to know, even if you wear a rug, you're the most gorgeous lady I've ever known."

"What makes you say that?" and he pointed his finger at my bed full of clothes.

"Oh hahaha! I'm sorry for that. I'm just like that, when I go out, so let's go?"

"Yeah. Sure."

"By the way, with the rug thing. Thank you. Made my night." and he flashed a smirk.

We headed directly to his gig. I mean Mason's gig.

The place is quite awesome. I've never gone to these kind of places before.

Seriously? Band Aid. Wow! That's the funniest name of band I ever heard. Wow! and clapped for Mason's Band.

Mason: Hello everyone, maraming salamat sa pumunta dito. Thank you for welcoming us in this bar. Actually this is my first time here because we always perform in international places. So the song is "Bad Day, by Daniel Powter" which is our drummer for this band. Mason here, for the vocalist and that's me. Christopher in the base, Calves on the electric guitar and let's rock this night on!!!

Mason: "Amanda, come here, let me introduce you to my band mates." Yo tope, this is Amanda my friend, daniel, amanda here, calves, this is Amanda"

Amanda: Nice meeting you all. 

Calves: may pahawak hawak kamay pa ah. Ah Amanda, kayo na ba?

Mason: Di marunong mag tagalog yan. She's international. From US pare.

Daniel: Ganitong babae na pala tipo mo ngayon?

Mason: Dati pa! Tsaka ano bang meron, maganda naman siya diba.

Christopher: Medyo pare, kaso naka eyeglass pare. Parang di mo naman to tipo, dati lang mga babaeng naka lipstick eh.

Calves: Oo nga! Hahahahaha

Amanda: What are they saying? 

Mason: They thought you are my girlfriend. Pero sana nga. 

Amanda: What? Excuse me. Mason's band mate. I'm not his girlfriend, I'm a friend. 

Mason: It's okay. They're only kidding us. Pissing us off. Hahahaha. So guys we need to go. 

Daniel: Nice meeting you Amanda.

Calves: Nice meeting you!

Amanda: Hahahaha! You're so corny. But of course I love you.

Mason: Really?

Amanda: Yes, you're like a brother to me. You're so kind and cute.

Mason: Oh like a brother huh? 

Amanda: *flashed a smile*

Mason: Let's go home, its getting late.

Amanda: let's go and held Mason's hand

Mason: Bat ganito. Mahal niya ba ako? Kasi ako mahal na mahal ko siya.
