"I wish you were dead!"
"I hope you go to hell!"
You may think this is some ordinary argument...
"Why are you even here? Get out!"
"It's not my fault you're so in love with me."
"Leave, you big headed brat!"
"Fine, I will. I hope you die in a car accident."
"I hate you!"
"Your parents made a mistake of letting you live twelve years ago."
...but it's not. It's an intense argument that no one can stop nor disturb. The battle is so loud, the whole neighborhood can hear it-literally. If you guessed correctly, this is a quarrel between me and my archenemy, Clive McNeil.
We never liked each other and we never got along. We've hated each other since the first day we met, which is the day he flushed my favourite pink backpack in the tiny kindergarten washroom. My poor pink bag. After that day, I thought we'd just argue, but no! We're much more than enemies, we are sworn-arch enemies. We spread rumours sourly about one another, picked disastrous fights with one another, and had time-outs every hour.
Things haven't really changed since kindergarten. We just knew a few more words, which got us into detention more often, and we each became stronger, too. We pulled so many pranks on each other that I lost count. We were always trying to ruin each other's lives; it was like our life goal. Our day was not complete without harassing one another, even if one of us was having a bad day. I really tried to control my temper, but something about his insults made me want to actually glue his mouth and flush him down the toilet, like he did with my favourite pink bag.
My dad always told me, "People can change if you let them do it on their own."
I always answered, "As if!" Though I did wait patiently until he tried to change, but it only got us into garbage duty for two months. I still cannot block the images of that carrot and sour cream sauce vomit out of my mind; it scarred me for life.
If my dad knew anything, Clive McNeil will never change.
