Good morning.
Good morning.

Mary turned on her side as she reached for the alarm on her bed stool and turned it off. She opened her eyes to look at the time. Shit, she was late. And she was suppose to be setting a good example to her junior's.
She jumped out of bed. And raced into the bathroom.
She had thought that her life would be easy after getting a job with one of the biggest magazine as an editor.
But here she was still getting ready for work as early as possible so as to be there before her employees.
She sighed as she stepped out of the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. She was beautiful and she knew it, well small and beautiful. With her long black hair which fell below her shoulder down her back.
And her small waist. She didn't have so much ass but she had a wide hip, that she'd rather trade some of it for a little ass. Her eyes wandered to her small breast. It wasn't so big but neither was it small. She smiled at herself as she whispered to herself. "Today is a good day and I'm going to find my husband"

and she turned and headed into her dressing room to look for something to wear.
She came out a few minutes later wearing a striped pant and a black chiffon top. She took her black Louis vitton bag and headed down stairs to her garage.

Her office was on the top floor of the building, and she hated it. It's not like she didn't like being at the top but it was having to get there. Of course there was a lift but she was scared of it....well she's always been scared of the elevator since forever.
She sighed as she proceeded to entering the building, well she'd just have to use the stairs.
"Good morning" the receptionist at the last floor greeted her.
"Good morning Alicia" she answered.

Mary had made it an obligation to know the name of practically every one. She wasn't a nice boss, but neither was she a bitch though sometimes she wishes she was.
As she headed to her office, she greeted everyone who greeted and tried to say their name as she did.
She sighed as she finally reached her office.
"Good morning ma'am" her Secretary greeted
"Good morning Lucy" she answered. "Can you bring my schedule to the office now"
"Yes ma'am" the Secretary answered as she set to looking for the schedule.
Mary left her to do her job and went into her office.

She loved her office she thought as she sat down. It was so spacious, and the glass window which overlooked the busy city of New York. She turned her back to the door and stared into space. This was living, she thought.
She heard the door being opened and didn't need to turn back to see who it was.
"Hello Betty" she greeted her friend/ colleague. She turned to look at her.
"Shit, how do you always know it's me" Betty groaned.
Mary laughed. "It's because of that perfume of yours. I love it you know"
Betty smiled as she took the seat opposite her friend.
"I just wanted to check on you" Betty said
"Awwww that's so sweet of you" Mary said as she reached out to touch her friend lightly on the hand.
Betty smiled as she stood up to leave.
"And also, Mary happy New month" she said as she closed the door to the office with a sly smile on her face.
Mary's sat there shocked.
New month. God, so February had gone by without her getting engaged. God she stood up and looked at her calendar. Shit! Shit! Four more months to her turning 25. No, and she still wasn't engaged, she needed to do something about it.
She sighed as she buzzed her Secretary into the office.

"So any idea on what story to run this month" Mary stood at the head of the table in the conference room.
Everyone in the meeting sat there staring at her.
They all knew the rule. A new story every month, New ideas. Something to keep their readers interested. They always released two editions in a month, so they shared the stories they were able to gather.
"Anything" Mary asked again. "Jane, anything" she said looking at the blonde girl in charge of fashion.
Seeing that no one had anything to present she sighed.
"Okay. I'll give you till Friday. That's in two days time, I need fresh ideas and strong ones. Thank you." She said as she left the conference room. Everyone waited for her to leave before following behind.
Today was going to be good Mary thought. She had a dinner date with Charles and knew he was ready to take their relationship to the next level.
She sighed as she headed to her office she had work to do.

Mary worked slowly into the restaurant. She gasped at how nice it was. It was her first time here. Charles waved at her as she made her way towards him.
He kissed her on both sides of the cheek as she reached him. Then drew out her chair for her.
"Thanks for seeing me Mary" he said nervously.
Mary laughed as she brushed it off. Charles was her boyfriend of over 6 months now.

Their romance had been swift, and she knew she loved him. In fact right now she loved any man.
"What's the occasion" she asked as she smiled.
Charles smiled back, nervously as he poured wine into her glass. He watched her as she drank out of it.
God she was beautiful but he didn't love her. She was so nice and everything a man would want but he wasn't ready for that. He needed to end it today. He had spent so many nights awake but he didn't want to hurt her.
"Mary " he said
"Yes" she said with excitement all over her face.
"You're a nice person and have come to realize that you deserve better so please...."

"Yes I'll marry you" she said just as he completed his sentence "Lets end it" Mary turned to look at him as he said it.
She sat there staring into space, then finally decided she had nothing to say. So she got up and left the restaurant as well as her ex boyfriend.
