Chapter 43

Tori's pov

"She failed me. She traded my tests when I was in history! She wanted you to tutor me!" I told beck furiously thinking back to the day I took my test.

"Tori think about it, would jade really want me spending time with you?" Beck told me trying to calm my nerves. I slumped against the door of his trailer and slid all the way down. 1........2.........3........4, my mental countdown wasn't helping me much at all. I looked up at him and started to put the pieces together.

"Look I know you said jade has been flirting and smiling at you but has she mentioned anything deep to you. Anything important that you may not want me to know..." I asked him while looking up at him. He bit his lip and looked up at me. He let out a deep throated sigh.

"Yes, yes she did. The day you came to school late and when you were wearing combat boots in 80 degree weather." He looked at me and I gave him a sarcastic look, not funny beck. "When I had walked into school earlier that day she pulled me into the supply closet. She told me to stay away from you, that you weren't good news." He looked at me as if he was cautious to continue.

"She uhh, she......" Beck started murmuring.

"You can tell me, I wouldn't get mad anyways. We aren't together so it won't hurt me." I lied blankly.

"Well uhh she kissed me. Like a full out kiss, and I kissed back on instinct. But when I shoved her away I told her I love tori and she got furious." He remotely said.

"She told me you would never love me and that I should stay away from you. Jade said she doesn't want me getting hurt and if I stay around you that's exactly what's gonna happen." He finished gazing away from me.

"But your with me now"

"And nothing's wrong with me." He told me slurring it like a question.

"No, jade would never hurt you, she'd hurt me. But since your with me she's now willing to hurt you along with me." I told him pulling pieces together.

"Wait, who said she saw us we were the only ones left in the hallwa-"

"No there were still some kids there. There were some hippies, stoners, and three peopl-

"Jade, Ryder, and Josie" he finished for me. "And if they're not here they're at your house."

"You drive" I told him grabbing my bag, and rushing out the door.

They were at my house.
