I wake up to the sun shining on my face. I moan as the pain from my sore muscles send the feeling of pain up my nerves. I cough. That was a mistake because when I do, the back of my throat explodes with mucus and a hell of a lot of pain. I blink my eyes and squint into the distance. I see two things who I'm guessing are Matt and Ryan. Have they seriously been here all night? I try to move until I remember that I'm tied down to a fucking tree.
"Hey!" I call out. "Hey wake up you two little fucks!" Ryan wakes up with a start. He opens his eyes, taking his precious time while my wrists sting from the ropes that bind them. "RYAN GET THE FUCK UP!!!" Ryan jumps and actually somehow hits his head on the tree he was leaning against.
"AH WHA THE FUCK?!?!" He yells as he frantically gets up. He looks over at me and woke up Matt too.
"Come undo these ropes!" I reply, now getting a little hysterical. "That's 'WHA THE FUCK' is up!"
"Ok ok!" Ryan says while getting up and stretching. Still taking his time. "Fuck, don't get you ass into a knot. Jesus." My eyes are half-closed with an annoyed look and I give myself a mental facepalm since I literally can't in reality. Ok this is seriously bullshit. Ryan and Matt come over and undo the rope and chains that bind me to this fucking tree. Thing is, is that when I'm untied, I almost fall due to the lack of feeling in my legs. I've been standing up all night.
"Next time, can I be tied down while sitting instead of standing up all night?" I ask once I regain my balance with the help of Matt and Ryan. Matt gathers the chains and Ryan holds me by my arm to make sure that I don't fall down and we finally get home. I take a hot shower and throw myself into my bed.
"So, Mark," Matt says casually. "How do you feel?" I lean back and rub my eyes.
"Like I got run over by a fucking bus," I mumble tiredly. "And Ryan, if you say 'I told you so' I'm gonna kick your ass across the world. I mean it." Ryan nods and gives me a thumbs up.
"Hey," Matt says standing up. "No one's ass is going to be kicked across the world. Mark, you get some rest, and Ryan, let's go downstairs." With that, they leave downstairs and I growl after he closes the door. I run my fingers through my hair as the events from last night become too real in my head. I shake it away and decide to look at tweets and comments. A lot of people commented on the light eyes. I mean a lot. "Hey, Mark. Your eyes look lighter. Are those contacts or something?" "Wow, Mark! Nice contacts!" Or, "Mark your eyes are lighter. Are you some kind of werewolf or something?". That one really yanked a chord. I mean like friggin pulled really hard. I slam my phone down screen first and close my eyes.
"For the love of fuck," I mutter to myself. "Can't this werewolf stuff just leave me alone? I already actually transformed last night, I don't need every single conversation, comment, tweet, whatever, to bring up my burden either."
I'm a monster, I thought miserably to myself. All because of a bullshit bite, I got turned into this huge wolf. It's alright, except for the fact that I might kill one of my friends! I sigh and set my glasses near my phone and rub my eyes. Maybe I just need some sleep. I've been up literally all night. And with that, I lay down and get comfortable and close my eyes.

Matt's POV

Ryan is sitting on the arm of the couch, ranting on about how right he is. I'm listening to some, but after a while, he starts to repeat himself.
"See?" Ryan rants. "Did he listen? No! He went on about the 'fucking bite' and how it doesn't mean anything. Well, now look where it's gotten him! We tied him to a tree and he transformed and actually turned out being one! I want to say 'I told you so' so fucking badly!" I blink slowly, my eye muscles tense with annoyance. I inhale, Ryan's actually about to make me lose my mind.
"Ryan?" I ask as calmly as I can. He shuts up and looks over at me. "Can you please shut up so that I can get some peace and quiet?" Ryan's eyes slightly widen he sees that I actually kinda lost my cool. I continue to look him in the eyes and he gets the message and keep his mouth shut. "Thanks, Ryan."
"No problem," Ryan says, still a little shocked. Ryan lays back on the couch and sighs with comfort. We watch tv for a little while and listen just in case Mark almost faints again or something. I decide to go upstairs and peek on him just to be sure. I slowly open the crack enough for me to see and see Mark fast asleep and curled up into a ball, his blue-purple hair somewhat covering his face. He sneezes when some of his bangs get onto his nose. I smile and silently bring the door back. He's like a father/friend. It's hard to explain, and no, I'm heterosexual. There's a difference.
Anyway, Mark is asleep and me and Ryan are bored. We just watch tv and do whatever and stay quiet so Mark can get some rest. I get my phone out and look at some of the pictures I took while Mark transformed and after he did. He didn't turn into a full wolf-like I thought he would. He only partially turned. The only difference was pointed ears, a small snout, yellow eyes, fangs, a skimpy tail, a light fur coat, and hind legs like a wolf. That was really it, you could still tell that it was him. He didn't really rip his clothes either, only when he ripped at it a bit.
"Hey, Ryan," I ask while putting my phone down screen first next to me. Ryan looks up at me. "When Mark transformed, I noticed that he only partially transformed. Is there anything about that that you read on websites or something?" Ryan looks back down at his phone and nods.
"Yea," he replies. "I was actually just reading something about that. Here, let me read it out loud.
'When a werewolf transforms for the first time, they usually partially transform for the first second, and third full moon. When they reach their fourth, they usually turn into a full wolf. The partial transformation is safer and not as strong. When the wolf fully transforms, it becomes more dangerous and stronger. The safest place would be a basement considering that they are strong enough to possibly break through chains. The full transformation takes longer and hurts more. When the wolf fully transforms, it stays the same shape as the human, only in a wolf form. So, depending on how the big the person determines the size of the wolf.'"
"Wow," I reply. "That's really helpful, but we do have a basement. I don't know why we didn't use it, to begin with. I'm such a dumbass."
"But we can't just leave him in there to roam free," Ryan says. "We don't have a steel door. Only a wooden one. If the full wolf can break through chains, I'm pretty sure it can break through a wooden door. Maybe we just tie him up, there is probably a hook and we can buy a big dog choker."
"I don't think he'd like to be treated like a fucking dog!" I reply after I hear 'dog choker'. "I mean, a dog choker? Come on!"
"A dog choker?" A voice growls. "Are you fucking kidding me?" Ryan and I turn around and see Mark standing at the bottom of the stairs a menacing look on his face.
"That's exactly what I was telling him!" I reply. Mark walks over to Ryan, Mark's head bent down as he towers over Ryan.
"But what the fuck am I supposed to do?!" He asks hysterically. "When you fully transform, you'll break the chains! We can tie you down with more chain, that's all I can say if you don't want the choker. Dammit! Why does everyone jump on me? I'm was just trying to help."
"I'm sorry, Ryan," I reply. "But there is no way I'd want a dog choker. It pissed me off and I'm not even the werewolf here!"
"It pisses me off," Mark growls. "Ugh, sorry for jumping on you so quickly. I've been on edge because of all that happened last night. Sorry for saying that your theories weren't true. I should've given it a chance at least. Even though it was actually true, but if you say 'I told you so' I'm still gonna kick your ass."

Mark's POV

I walk over and grab some steak from the fridge. Fuck it. It can be raw or cooked. I eat the raw without even noticing the difference. It's pretty good, but maybe that's because I just transformed last night. It'll probably wear off a bit as the days progress away from the full moon. Thing is, is that sometimes the full moon lasts two days. Sometimes. I check the moon phase and it still says full, but I'll wait it out. I feel way better compared to yesterday. Yesterday sucked ass. I hurt, I had a headache, I felt dizzy, and I just didn't feel like myself. Just about everything that happened, I hated. Everything pissed me off.
"You feeling better, Mark?" Ryan asks, probably trying to cover up the previous event.
"Yeah," I reply with a sigh. "I actually feel much better. Yesterday sucked ass and I never want to experience that again. Even though I will."
"Yeah," Ryan says. "That looked pretty painful last night. It looked excruciating."
"It was," I reply with my teeth clenched, the thoughts from last night replaying through my head. I wash my hands off and wipe my mouth. Ok, as weird as that is for my humanity, the other part of me says that it's totally normal. Normal my ass. That's what I think.
