Harry and I were cuddled up on the sofa after watching a film and I giggled as he told me a story about how I played a prank on him when we first met. I had no recollection of it but it was funny to hear him tell me of the supposed mischief I caused.

I smiled up at him from my spot lying down on the sofa. Harry smiled back and bent down to place a sweet kiss on my lips. I smiled into the kiss as my hand came up to twirl one of his chocolate curls around my finger.

“I’m going to go make a tea, do you want one?” He asked me once he had pulled away.

“Yes please,” I responded. I could never pass up a nice warm cuppa.

He got up off the sofa, disentangling himself from me, and set off towards the stairs. I huffed back onto the pillows as I prepared to wait alone for the next fifteen minutes. It was always like this. Harry would go up to get something from another floor of the house and I was locked down here until he returned. It was getting annoying. I wanted to be able to go somewhere asides from the main room of the basement and the tiny bathroom. I was starting to become claustrophobic.

“Harry!” I called.

He paused a few steps from the top and looked back at me.

“Yeah?” I answered.

“Can I come up with you?” I asked sheepishly. Even though we had been together, or whatever, for almost a week now I still had the lingering fear of Harry’s hidden violent side.

I heard him sigh. “Lou.”

“Please Haz? We’ve been a couple-type thing for almost a week! I haven’t tried leaving since I got here and I won’t try leaving the house. Because leaving the house means leaving you and I don’t want that.” I explained in a rush while staring at my hands.

I didn’t hear a response so I looked up.

Harry was staring at me. He looked like he was having a war within his own mind on whether or not to allow me upstairs.  After a few minutes he sighed again.

“Okay.” He said.

“Really?!” I asked leaping off the sofa. I couldn’t believe he was actually letting me come upstairs!

“Yeah, I trust you.” He said and I rushed up the steps to meet him. He took my hand in his, lacing our fingers together. He reached for the door but turned back to me first. “And I would like to think I am your boyfriend. That is if you want me to be.”

My mouth parted into an ‘o’ shape and I stared at him. Did he just say he wanted to be my boyfriend? My heart raced within my chest as a smile stretched across my face. I didn’t know what to say so I just leaned forward and crashed my lips to his. He returned the pressure, kissing me back.

“Of course I want you to be my boyfriend you twat.” I whispered against his lips. I felt him smile in response and press him mouth to mine again. He kissed me a few more times before I finally shoved him off and he opened the door.
