Promise (requested)

Hi beauties! Happy Easter! I hope you guys have a great day and a wonderful spring break if you are on break now. I have to babysit on tuesday and thursday from 7am-5pm so i probably won't update those days unless i update extremely late. But anyway this imagine is for loveydovy16 and i hope you enjoy it!

Hayes POV

Wow, 2 years of being together with this beautiful girl. I know its been a long time and if we weren't so young I would honestly propose to her, but i have something planned that's gonna make her so happy. 

I got up and walked to the kitchen and decided to eat breakfast and text my amazing girlfriend. 

Me: Hey beautiful. Happy anniversary! I have something special planning for today so be ready for me to pick you up at 3

Her: Happy anniversary babe, I love you and I'll be ready by then

Me: I love you too

I watched the clock as the time went by slowly. I was so excited for today, I couldn't focus on anything.

*Time skip* 

3 o'clock finally rolled around and I was at her house. I picked her up in my car and I drove to a nice park down the street. 

I opened the door for her and got out a picnic basket and spread out a blanket under an oak tree. We sat and talked for hours and hours until she  asked what was inside the basket. I opened it up and took out her favorite desert and a tiny box. 

We ate our desert and then she gave me my gift and I gave her hers. I insisted she opened hers first and after a little arguing she finally opened the box. 

Inside it was a little note that said "look up" When she ready the note she looked up and flipped a switch and thousands of tiny lights lit up the entire tree. She looked at me and then back at the tree giving me just enough time to make my move. 

I took another tiny box out of my pocket, got on my knee, and cleared my throat to get her attention.

She looked at me and was a loss for words. 

I looked her in the eyes and said "I'm not proposing to you, this isn't an engagement ring.. Its a promise ring. (Y/N) you light up my world." I said referring to the lights. "I promise that one day we will get married and be together forever. I love you." I put the ring on her finger and gave her a kiss.

That night we continued to laugh and talk, and lay under the lights, happily in love with each other.
